Lilah b Part 2: Lips n Cheeks
And here’s part 2 of my Lilah B collection review. Link to part 1 is below. This blog will contain all the cream products, lip balm, and lipstick. Here we go!
Glisten + Glow™ Skin Illuminator - b. enchanting (champagne shimmer)
Brand’s description: A multipurpose complexion must-have packed with skin beneficial ingredients.
Awaken and revitalize a dull complexion with this luxurious whipped highlighter. As part of an overall beauty routine, healthy, radiant skin becomes instantly attainable when worn alone or as an all-over base under foundation. Impart an uplifting glow as a brow highlighter, illuminate and sculpt cheekbones, contour nose or define a cupid’s bow with a natural-looking candlelit luminosity.
Key Ingredients + Benefits:
-Black Currant Seed Oil Extract and Sunflower Oil Concentrate: effectively reduces inflammation and stimulate repair to replenish natural skin radiance
-Carotenoids, Plant Sterols and Essential Fatty Acids: helps strengthen skin’s complexion and visibly improve brightness and vitality
-Brown Sea Algae: contains skin firming properties to help improve texture and tone
I don’t own many cream highlighters (they don’t work well in humid weather ), so I can’t really say I’m an expert on this. I only ever owned 2 cream highlighters before ( this and RMS) and I actually like this one better. I feel like its more shimmery and shows up better than the RMS one. It gives a beautiful champagne glow.
That being said , cream stuff don’t go well with humid weather. I need to set everything with powder, and it just makes no point trying to use a cream highlighter when you have to use powder over it (cream blush works though). I will definitely give this a try when I go on vacation abroad and see how it works in cold dry weather.
Next are the three lip products.
First starting with the Tinted Lip Balm -b. cheeky.
Brand’s description: A smooth, nourishing balm that enwraps the lips with rich, moisturizing comfort. The incredibly creamy texture soothes and relieves dry, chapped lips. Sheer tints give you just the right amount of pigment, yet multi-task by providing instant softness and lasting hydration.
A combination of refreshing mint with a delicate hint of pure lavender provides a sensation of freshness and tranquility.
Key Ingredients + Benefits:
-Beeswax: contains softening and moisturizing properties
-Lavender Essential Oil: provides a soothing sense of well-being
Apply our tinted balm beneath or on top of our Divine Duo™ Lip & Cheek for added hydration and luster. Wear alone for a nourishing and moisturizing treatment with sheer tint. Apply to cheeks for a tinted, dewy finish.
Here’s what I think: I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT. This has got to be the lip balm that looks prettiest on my lips. I feel like it doesn’t just moisturize, but it actually makes my lips look soooo pretty once i put it on. I actually just want to use this instead of my usual lipsticks because it’s just so pretty. My lips look super plump and the color adds a tint to my face and it actually brightens up my face. I really need to post a photo of myself wearing this shade.
The texture of the balm is a bit hard in cold temperature but softens to a jello in hot weather. But you can still dip your fingers easily even when its hard. (the photo below is done in hot weather do it was easy to swipe a lot of product up on my finger).
To me, it even feels like this is a potted version of the Chantecaille Lip Chics - my favourite sheer lipstick. I am now super tempted to buy more shades.
Next is the b.merry Divine Duo Lip & Cheek set which included the shades b.sassy and b.dazzling. This was actually my first ever Lilah B purchase.
The Divine Duo™ Lip & Cheek are cream products that can be used on both lips and cheeks (duh obviously).
Brand’s description: Double your pleasure with our multi-purpose, creamy lip and cheek duo with a luxurious matte finish. Long-wearing yet creamy and moisturizing, our innovative formulation provides blendable and buildable color – perfect for day and night. Apply as a cream eyeshadow for the ultimate multi-tasker.
Key Ingredients + Benefits:
-Coconut Oil: smooths and moisturizes
-Aloe: contains soothing and moisturizing properties
-Agar: leaves skin hydrated and glowing
First up is b.sassy - bright pink
This formula has less shine than the lip balm, and is more creamy, but still not as creamy as some other brands. There is still that luminosity in them. They are a little balm-like rather pure creams. I actually feel like there is a tiny bit difference in the formula between the two shades, maybe because b.sassy doesn’t have shimmers.
b.dazzling - champagne shimmer
This shade is a champagne shimmer shade - which I actually works best on lids! Actually it works on cheeks as well, but since I already own the Glisten + Glow™ Skin Illuminator, I prefer that one. When I use this on my lips, it barely shows up, and I love the tinted lip balm more. So I ended up using this on my lids. I don’t use any eyegloss because they are just too tacky, but this works fine as an eyegloss.
And the swatches:
See it kinda looks gel/balm like:
And that is it guys, I hope my blog helps you decide how what to splurge and what not to.
