Kosas Cosmetics Haul: Color & Light Palettes, Wet Lip oil Glosses, Weightless Lip Color
Hello peeps, another day, another introduction to a new brand. Kosas has been a brand I have been eyeing for a while due to their super chic packaging, and last Black Friday was the perfect time to try some of their products.
First of all lets see what Kosas is made of:
“We exist to revolutionize what beauty means and change the complicated relationship between beauty and makeup.
We believe in free, easy, unrestrained beauty that celebrates simplicity and defies convention. Well-versed in the beauty routines that came before us, we are now liberating them, redefining beauty on our own terms and introducing makeup that feels as good as it looks.
Kosas is a visionary collection of nourishing, skin-flattering color cosmetics. Limited only by our own imagination and not bound by tradition, we create unparalleled blends that feel better, last longer, and make an impact.
We take our name from the philosophy of the five “kosas” of self. According to this philosophy, there are five intersecting and connected layers of self that communicate with each other: a physical layer, a vitalizing layer of energy, a sensory mental layer, a discerning intellectual layer, and a layer of truthful bliss. Beauty lives in each of these layers, not just in the physical.
At Kosas, our clean, skin-loving, botanical formulas and expert color pigmentation honor the beauty in every layer of the self. We undo conventional rules and create products that are beauty rebels, effortlessly applied, flattering across skin tones, and enriched with beneficial skincare ingredients.
With our eyes always fixed on transformation and the future of cosmetics, we are proud to be at the forefront of a beauty revolution, and we’re not about to stop.”
I picked up 3 products with 2 shades of each product. They are the Color & Light Palettes, Wet Lip oil Glosses, Weightless Lip Colors.
Color & Light Palette
Brand’s description: An ultra-blendable powder blush and highlighter palette in versatile duos of balancing, brightening, foolproof, clean, and skin-cushioning formulas.
Soft, controllable, and buildable, this reimagined formula combines finely milled, optically blended pigments with active botanicals to deliver silky, even color and a skin-cushioning sensation. Each duo has two levels of intensity for color that compliments every skin tone. High intensity duos have double the pigment for double the payoff. Each palette pairs the perfect pigment with a coordinated highlighter to pick up on the undertone of the blush.
Highlighted Ingredients:
- Jojoba Seed Oil: Soothes and balances.
- Moringa Seed Oil: Brightens and provides vitamin C.
- Rosemary Extract: Supports natural circulation and promotes glow.
I think the most genius thing Kosas has done is to come out with two intensities for each palette one for light skin and one for dark skin. For example the Longtitude Zero palette would be available in 2 formulas, the normal and the intense. Now this solves the problem for a blush being too pigmented for light skin and not showing up for dark skin. just pure genius.
There are also cream versions of the powder versions, in both normal and intense formulas. So all in all, there are 4 variations of each shade. I mean what more do you want? If you don’t find what you want them that’s your problem because the brand has provided all. I think it’s amazing that a brand is doing this.
First up, Contrachroma, powder, non intense.
Shade description: A golden bronzing powder blush and highlighter duo for sun-kissed glow or subtle sophisticated definition. A skin-conditioning, easy-to-apply, blendable blush paired with a complementary highlighter to wake up and balance your look.
I actually have been using this as a blush and highlighter duo instead of a bronzer. The bronzer shade leans dusty nude and it’s the perfect shade to warm up my complexion while providing color to my cheeks at the same time.
I bought the non-intense version and it was still quite pigmented! (at least compared to some of my other blushes). There is a glow to these powders, not shimmers but like very fine pearls that adds dimension to the powder. I love glowy blushes.
As for the highlighter shade, it is also glowy like the blush and adds brightness to my face without that shiny, glittery part. This highlighter leans to the subtle side of my collection (i own many blinding highighters).
Next, Longitude Zero.
Shade description: “An iconic pink rose powder blush and highlighter duo for classic blush and a just-kissed flush. A skin-conditioning, easy-to-apply, blendable blush paired with a complementary highlighter to wake up and balance your look.”
This one is also in powder form and is non-intense.
Like Contrachroma, this blush is also quite pigmented. Just one dab and the color shows up a lot. I had to use the softest brush I have to apply this. The shade is a glowy pinky salmon. Lovely.
The highlighter shade is a sandy nude color that glows but doesn’t shimmer. Super natural.
Moving on to the lip products. I own the liglosses and the lipsticks.
First up is the Wet Lip Oil Gloss.
Brand’s description: Buy your lips a drink. This hybrid lip treatment + gloss is packed with peptides that plump and hydrate, all while providing a juicy slick of color.
100% treatment, 100% lip gloss. Hyaluronic Acid, Peptides, Evening Primrose Oil and other botanicals work to hydrate, plump and protect the lips. The non-sticky formula slides on smooth to give you a soft, comfortable feel and slick, vinyl look. Fully wearable day or night. Slide. Smack. Shine.
Wet Lip Oil Gloss was made to ride solo or perfectly layer with other lipsticks and lip balms.
This is actually THE product that caught my eye and started noticing Kosas on social media (namely Instagram). I have been seeing these everywhere and seeing the word wet/lip/oil together seemed like a good idea.
There are 6 shades in total, but I have here 2 shades, Dip and Jaws.
Dip is a shimmery nude shade that will just go with absolutely every look. I even wear it alone. I can totally see a bronzed look using this lip oil.
It also reminds me of Rodin’s Lip Oil but at a more affordable price.
Jaws is a bright red shade with subtle shimmer. This shade just screams summer. It brightens up my face immediately and I love using it alone AND under lipstick.
The formula for both shades isn’t very oily, don’t let the word “oil” confuse you. It actually feels like a jelly gloss with added oils. they give a wet look, so actually this formula is more towards wet rather than oil.

And lastly, the Weightless Lip Color.
Brand’s description: A game-changing, clean lipstick formula that melts comfortably into the lips and stays throughout the day.
This forward-thinking formula redefines clean beauty with lipstick that delivers perfect, high-impact pigment with a lived-in finish. This is achieved by an innovative emulsion of six botanical oils and three botanical butters for full color with undetectable feel.
I admit that I ordered this without even know what the formula is like, I felt like I just had to try their lipsticks. And it turns out I love them so much!
The formula is lightweight, in the middle between being sheer and being pigmented, can be built up, gives a natural shine, and is super comfortable on my lips. This is the far opposite of that tacky feeling when you wore your mother’s lipstick when you were a kid.It doesn’t feel like a balm or a gloss, it feels like lipstick but it’s so comfortable if feels better than not wearing anything. OK I suck at explaining this. I think it’s the combination of oils and butters in this lipstick that feels so good on my lips. You have to check them out.
I bought 2 full sized shades and received Rosewater as a free gift with purchase.
Stardust: A medium-sheer, warmer tone peachy pink, Stardust lipstick melts into lips, rejuvenating and fairy-dusting them for the day’s journey. It’s the perfect natural flush that illuminates what lies within.
Vegas, baby: This exclusive shade is a beige-y nude. Made for everyday — but also pairs well with sequins and smoky eyes. She’s versatile. Enhanced with healing botanicals for a fully hydrated, better-than-naked feel.
Rosewater (I received as a free gift): A sheer, cooler tone on the pinker side of nude, Rosewater cozies up to every face, simultaneously making you the classic confidante and giving you the secret to a healthy glow. Luxuriously hydrating, Rosewater lipstick glides on so easy you don't even need a mirror.
Overall, I love everything from this brand that I’ve tried so far! Definitely will try new things the next Black Friday . . .
