Westman Atelier Lip Suede & Mascara Review & Swatches
Another blog on Westman Atelier! This post is on the Limited Edition Shanghai Edition box that included the Lip Suede and the Eye Love You mascara. I actually wanted to buy just the Lip Suede but I thought it was a nice box so I got the whole set.
First up is the Westman Atelier Lip Suede. Basically, it’s a mini lip palette.
Brand’s description: This luxurious lip color palette contains four vibrant shades infused with long-lasting pigments and powerful regenerating benefits. Housed in a bright lacquered compact, each ultra-flattering lip shade—in fuchsia, brick, tomato red, and warm dusty rose—can be custom mixed for endless possibilities. Nourishes, plumps, and boosts collagen using clean actives in an innovative petroleum-free base. Matte suede texture moisturizes and conditions lips.
No silicones, no parabens, no PEGs, no phthalates, no synthetic fragrances. Vegan & no animal testing.
Key Ingredients
Cold-pressed cherry oil, carefully extracted from the kernel, provides high levels of antioxidants Vitamin A and E.
Marula oil protects with active Vitamin C and oleic acid, a fatty acid essential to healthy skin.
Biomimetic peptides boost collagen production, lip volume, hydration and softness.
Innovative vegetable-derived ingredients act as a clean and cushiony base without the need for preservatives or petroleum jelly.
Gucci's Notes
“A pop of red is so uplifting and expressive! I love the freedom a palette provides to customize a uniquely beautiful color.”
To prep lips before color, exfoliate first and follow with a hydrating balm.
Apply the bright tomato and fuchsia shades with a brush for more shape and definition. You can also press the color on with your fingers—I love a deep brick or tawny red stain with soft edges.
I like to keep the rest of the face simple with luminous skin, mascara, and translucent shine on the lids. It’s a fresh and modern way to do red.
This compact is a good pocket size, but its a bit too heavy for travel in my opinion ( I have been travelling with it though).
Here’s how each shade looks up close.
This palette is so amazing! Never in my life did I expect to love a lip palette. I normally shy away from lip palettes first because it’s a bit messy to use - you need a brush and everything. Second, I just prefer to use a shade that I want, not having to mix them in the first place.
Oh my am I so wrong. The process of mixing each color actually gives my lips dimension. I apply the darker shade in inside and the lighter shade on the outer part of my lips to create an Ombre effect. Sometimes I just use one shade, applying a dark shade in the inside and blend outwards with my fingers for a diffused look. My lips look amazing!
The formula is hard to explain. The brand calls it “matte suede” and I think I agree. It’s matte but not powder matte. It still has a bit of a cream finish but it dries down into a matte finish (it doesn’t really stain my mask).

Next is the Eye Love You Mascara.
Brand’s description: This luxurious 96% natural origin mascara combines innovative plant-powered technology with creamy conditioning ingredients and a densely packed nylon brush that volumizes, defines, and curls. The result is supercharged lashes that are glossy, pitch black, and healthy from the root.
No silicones, no parabens, no PEGs, no phthalates, no synthetic fragrances. No animal testing.
Key Ingredients
Galactoarabinan, a polysaccharide derived from larch trees, for its weightless hydrating and lash conditioning properties.
Sunflower seed, Carnauba, and Beeswaxes for volume, structure, and clean black pigments that stay put.
Caprylhydroxamic acid, a gentle preservative booster made from coconut oil, for anti-microbial protection.
Chicory root extract for its lush thickening and bodifying effect on lashes.
Gucci's Notes
A super black volumizing mascara gives definition to the eyes.
It wakes up the face. It’s that little lustrous finishing touch.
This creamy conditioning formula nurtures lashes so they look healthy, hydrated, and super glossy.
I like to hold the brush horizontally right at the base of the lashes and use a slight side-to side wriggling motion to build thickness and volume.
To get those little lashes at the inner corners, turn the brush vertically and sweep upward with the tip for really great lift and curl.
Here’s what I think, the packaging it so luxurious with all that gold and heavy tube. I makes this mascara feel much more expensive. However, performance-wise, I feel like it just another mascara. I prefer to use my holy grails which are Benefit and Hourglass.
