So this blog is the Equilibrium Skincare by Hourglass Review- Intensive Hydrating Eye Balm, Rebalancing Cream Cleanser, Restoring Essence. The brand also have a serum and a sunscreen in a black packaging, but I don’t own them.

All these three items are in white packaging. I received these as PR but the opinions are entirely my own.

First up is the Rebalancing Cream Cleanser.

Hourglass Equilibrium Rebalancing Cream Cleanser

Brand’s description: A rebalancing cleanser that removes impurities and delivers intense hydration, transforming dull and stressed skin with youthful radiance.

The Rebalancing Cream Cleanser is formulated with the Hourglass Cell Balancing Complex™, a powerful blend of youth lipids (phospholipids and prolipids) that rebalances, restores and renews the skin barrier. This highly concentrated and pH-balanced cream cleanser restores skin’s natural equilibrium with a luxurious lather.

Dispense a dime-sized amount into damp hands and work in a circular motion to create a creamy lather. Massage onto wet skin. Rinse thoroughly with warm water. Use morning and evening.

This is my favorite item out of the three. I usually don’t fuss over cleansers ( I feel like they stay on my skin for just 30 seconds and thus I don’t really need to invest much in them), but OMG I was wow-ed by this cleanser! The only other cleanser that had me wow-ed was the Eve Lom Cleansing balm (and that one is much more expensive and luxe). This has got to be the best cream cleanser I have ever used (or at least it made me feel the best). It’s described as a cream cleanser, but I think it has a tiny bit of foam cleanser hidden.

The scent is amazing, I don’t think I have ever smelt this scent in a skincare before anywhere. It feels clean and relaxing, and fresh. It cleans everything on my face in one go, and doesn’t leave my skin feeling dry afterwards. Actually, my skin feels so hydrated after using this cleanser. Magic.

Bottom line is, if you have the budget, give it a try.

Next is the Restoring Essence

Brand’s description: A radiance-enhancing essence that conditions, protects and restores balance to skin as it increases the effectiveness of skincare that follows.

The Restoring Essence is formulated with the Hourglass Cell Balancing Complex™, a powerful blend of youth lipids (phospholipids and prolipids) that rebalances, restores and renews the skin barrier. A vital step in the Equilibrium ritual, this ultra-hydrating essence balances skin and forms a protective barrier against environmental pollutants.

•Cushiony, ultra-hydrating formula doesn’t leave skin feeling dry or tight

Pour a small amount onto fingertips and then press onto cleansed face. Dry patches may require additional application. Avoid contact with eyes. Use in the morning and evening, allowing to fully absorb before applying serum and moisturizer.

This is a very fast absorbing essence. Fast like really fast. I don’t think I have tried any other essence that is absorbed as fast as this one (and I have used a gazillion essences and lotions). My skin felt so tight after using it! I have never used botox, but I imagine this is what it felt like. I have never felt anything like this after using skincare before. I’m not sure how people with wrinkles would feel about this, but I have pretty young skin and I felt like it was a bit too much. I have oily skin, and it made my skin feel so tight, so I don’t wanna imagine how people with dry skin would react. I don’t think this tightness is for everyone. I suggest you get a tester before buying this.

The formula is a thick but watery clear drop of water. Below you can see how the skin of my hand looked completely dry. This was just barely 10 seconds after I applied the essence.

Lastly, the Intensive Hydrating Eye Balm

Gently apply a thin layer to the undereye and outer contours of the eyes. Apply once each evening.

This balm does exactly what the brand claims. It’s super hydrating, to a point where its a bit too much for my liking ( I have oily skin). I think this would be perfect for anyone who wants to reduce wrinkles and add hydration (my mom loves it). For me, it’s a little too heavy.

It’s still a little greasy after application.
