My first Alpha H Skincare experience

I was luckily invited to the Sephora Thailand Spring 19 Press Event, where I got to explore some new launched from brands. And luckily, I received the Alpha H Multivitamin Super Cream and the Daily Essential Moisturizer with SPF to try at home.

Before we go on, I’m sure there are many of you who don’t know Alpha H. So I am also including the company introduction here as well:

Alpha H Multivitamin Super Cream and the Daily Essential Moisturizer with SPF

As I told you before, I received two item to review, and I ended loving them both!

First up is the Multivitamin Super Cream

Topical 'multivitamin in a jar'

Clinical tests proved this exciting development trapped between 74 and 97% of pollutants the skin was exposed to over a six hour period, while also maintaining the activity of the skin’s crucial immune system to guard against bacteria and viruses.

Multivitamin Super Cream is free from Silicone and absorbs into the skin quickly for an instantaneous moisture boost.

For all skin types, especially those which are dehydrated, lipid dry, and showing signs of premature ageing.

Dispense 2-3 pumps and massage over the face, neck and décolletage using gentle upward motions.

Multivitamin Super Cream is suitable for use both day and night, and can be applied over your chosen Alpha-H vitamin serum for optimum results.

OK and now is my personal opinion of the cream. First, it’s really really really rich. One pump is more than enough to cover my entire face (so I suggest using 3/4 of a pump). It feels super moisturizing, and nourishing. But if you prefer a lighter cream, then this might not be for you.

Second, I like the pump function of the bottle. This is designed to ensure that the contents inside don’t get affected by the outside air will retain their benefits 100%. I also like it because it’s easy to use. Push and swipe and done.

Third, I really like the scent. It smells exactly like Horlicks! If you don’t know what Horlicks are, then think of white malt. I don’t remember seeing malt in the ingredients list, so I don’t quite know where that scent came from. Or maybe its not white malt at all and I’m only imagining it. Bottom line is the scent is soft and gentle and I love it!

Finally, it gives me super soft skin in the morning after I use it the night before. I think all the Vitamins work as claimed in the official description. Alpha H says you can use it both day and night, but I think this is much too heavy to use for the day. I only use this at night, so I can’t comment on the claims on pollution protection.

So that is one pump. More than enough for my whole face. The blended photo shows how rich it is. It’s quite thick once applied on skin. I think it’s especially great for dry and mature skin.

Next, the Alpha H Daily Essential Moisturizer with SPF. This is basically day cream with added sunscreen.

Minimise extrinsic ageing

For All skin types

How-to: Apply liberally and evenly to all unprotected areas 20 minutes prior to exposure to the sun. Reapply every 2 hours for maximum protection, and after swimming, towel drying, exercise and excessive perspiration.

For daily use, apply Daily Essential Moisturiser over Vitamin C serum. Suitable for use as a makeup base if desired.

I really like this cream - during the winter. It’s quite thick for a day cream, but very moisturising at the same time. I used this in the Bangkok winter under my makeup. The sunscreen smell is pretty faint so that’s good. You barely notice that you’re using sunscreen.

The cream does leave some greasiness. So if you have oily or combination skin like me, this won’t work in warmer climate. I have given it to my mom who has dry skin. She has been using it for a while now and she says she loves it! She actually said it’s not greasy for her at all, and compared to other sunscreen she has used, this is actually pretty light. So I guess dry skin people will love this!
