MACxPadma Lakshmi Collection review
Last week I picked up some goodies from the MACxPadma collection. Got both powder blush duos and two lipsticks. I think the colors in this collection are very easy to use are office friendly. Also the packaging is so classic. However I passed on the eyeshadow palettes because the colors weren’t appealing to me.
First up, the blush duos! These are housed in a metal gold compact with a luxurious Indian design which compliments this collection perfectly.
To be honest, I think this is more like one powder blush duo and one bronzer/highlighter duo. You'll see why/
The Moon&Shine "blush" duo. I think this is a lovely bronzer and highlighter duo, despite it being called a blush. The bronzer is matte and the formula is super buttery and easy to blend. It gives a very natural tan that you can hardly go wrong with. The highlighter compliments the bronzer nicely.
Looking at the swatches, maybe medium skinned gals can use it as a blush? But it's definitelt a bronzer for me.
Next, the Melon Pink powder blush duo. This one includes a melon blush and a peachy pink with gold sparkles. I think these tones will compliment any skin tone. I particularly love the pink side, the sparkles are very fine and gives my cheeks a really lovely flush.
Then we have the lipsticks. There are 6 shades in this collection ranging from creamsheens to mattes. I think all the shades are created to compliment a wide range of skintones and are very classic.
I chose Apricot Gold and Sunset Rose. Apricot gold is an orange nude with a hint of brown. I think this is the most stunning out of all the shades. Sunset Rose is a muted pink with very find subtle golden shimmer that’s barely noticeable. I think all the lipsticks in this collection are very natural looking and classic.
So those are my picks from the collection! Has anyone tried the eyeshadow paletee?
