Tomford Soleil 2018 review and swatches of all shades.

I finally picked up some goodies from the Tomford Soleil Summer 2018 collection! I’ve picked up some stuff along the years from Tom’s Soleil collections (winter and summer), and I’ve never been disappointed!

This year I picked up the Soleil Eye and Cheek Palette in Soleil D’Ambre, The Cream and Powder Eyeshadow Duo in Emerald Isles, the Lip Color Sheer in Nudiste, and the Ultra Shine Lip Color in shade Ravenous. OK actually I bought the wrong Lip Shine shade but let’s forget about that for now.

I originally had the Reflects Guilt highlighter duo, the Golden Peach Cream and Powder Eyeshadow, the Warm Eye and Cheek palette, and the Ultra Rich Lip Color in Solar Affair.

Together, they make the most perfect Summer collection

First up, the palettes. I think Tomford makes one of the best glitter eyeshadows and blushes, paired those into a palette makes perfection. I think these are so luxe that any Tom Ford lover cant miss out.

I think one of the factors that lured me into buying the new Ambre palette is the blush shade. It’s a plum+amber shade that I’ve never had in my collection or imagined myself wearing. However, when I tried it on, it gives such a lovely flush when using a light hand. I instantly fell in love with it. For the shadows, well there’s nothing else to say but that the shades are so easy to wear and gives such a luxe vibe. The shades go really well with the blush.

Next, the Cream to Powder eyeshadow duo in shade Emerald Isles. This turned out to be my favourite out of the bunch. The cream eyeshadow is incredibly smooth, super easy to spread, and doesn’t crease. It gives a pearly emerald green color that may look too dark in the pot, but don’t be scared, the real color once applied is gorgeous. Furthermore, once you top your lids with the glitter powder, it gives this golden green glittery look that’s just so awesome.

I also got swatches of the other shade from the counter. The top two is Emerald Isles, the top two is Azure (a teal blue with taupe shimmer powder).

I also got swatches of my other duo from last year, the Golden Peach. This one is also super gorgeous and so easy to wear, even to the office.

Next, the Lip Color Sheer in Nudiste. This one I wasn’t sure of at first, but once I tried it at the counter, I had to have it. It’s a light bronzy color with fine golden shimmers that’s just barely there but looks so classy. It gives me lips that healthy bronzed summer look. Can’t really explain it. But I’m also wearing this in the above photo.

Here are swatches of Nudiste and Bambou. Bambou is a darker bronze, which I think will look gorgeous on darker skin tones.

Lastly, the Ultra Shine Lip color. I believe this is the same formula as the original Lip Shines but now in a white packaging. These are actually quite pigmented compared to other brands lip sheers, and they give this very healthy shine. However, there’s nothing revolutionary about it, so I think this can be passed.

Below I also included the Fire Lust Skin illuminator. It's a lovely liquid hgihlighter that I think would look great when mixed with foundation!
