Byredo Lipsticks Review & Swatches
Hello so this is part 2 of my review of Byredo makeup! You can check the link to part 1 here, they are o the Colour Sticks.
OK Let’s move on to the lipsticks now.
Brand’s description: Colour rich with an exceptional formulation that is both comfortable and impeccable. BYREDO LIPSTICK has sumptuous levels of colour saturation and does not dry the lips.
In its silver-gold, bi-colour metal curvilinear casing, the form of BYREDO LIPSTICK echoes bamboo. Here, the organic shape and distinct weight also play on the precious quality of cosmetics casings past, today brought into the future. Within, a precision slim-line stick is protected by a satisfying magnetic click.
These lipsticks are housed in an assymetric tube with a gold cap. I really applaud the design team for this packaging design. It’s really unique and really represents the Byredo brand. They weight quite heavy, which adds to the luxeness.
I got 3 shades, one in satin and two in mattte finish.
Commuter - A natural pink nude. A satin finish to reflect light and expand the colour. Vegan formula.
La Flamme - A striking orange with a touch of black. A matte finish to absorb light and intensify the colour.
Reunion - Orange-brown. A matte finish to absorb light and intensify the colour.
Here’s a closeup of Commuter
And here’s a closeup of Reunion.
I think these lipsticks are OK, but once I factor in the price, I don’t think they’re worth paying this much for a lipstick. There was no wow-factor (apart from the packaging) and I can easily get a similar formula from a much cheaper brand. They also have a a scent that I don’t like as well.
