DIOR BACKSTAGE EYE PALETTE - Amber Neutral Swatches, Rosy Glow Blush 001 Light Pink
Hey there this is a followup blog on Dior Backstage eyeshadow palettes. Seems like people love them and so the brand came out with new variations. This one is the Amber Neutral palette.
I’ve also done swatches of other backstage palette. You can check on the links below:
Brand’s description: Dior Backstage Eye Palette is the Dior makeup artists' secret weapon to create an array of pro eye looks, from the most natural to the most defined. Inspired by the energy backstage at the runway shows and makeup artist essentials, the Dior Backstage Eye Palette includes shades that suit all skin tones in buildable matte and iridescent textures for perfect eyes.
Designed to be long-wearing yet richly pigmented, the Dior Backstage formulas are effortlessly buildable: initially neutral colors may be made bold and intense, depending on the desired color intensity. Their formulas reveal a second-skin finish.
Dior Backstage Eye Palette contains:
- An eye primer (top left) that reinforces the eyeshadows' hold and boosts their color.
- Eight powders for use as eyeshadow or liner:
three shimmer shades and three ultra-pigmented matte shades adorn the eyes, complemented by a highlighting hue and a sculpting shadow.
APPLICATION TIPS
1. Apply the primer to the entire mobile eyelid.
2. Add color to the lid with a light shade on the brow arch.
3. Intensify the eyes by applying a more intense shade along the lashline and to the outside corner of the eye.
4. Deepen the eyes by applying a darker shade under the eye, then blend.
For a natural look:
1. Apply a more intense shade to the entire mobile eyelid to open up the eyes, then add a darker shade along the lashline to add definition.
2. Highlight by applying a lighter shade under the eyebrow arch and to the internal corner to open up the eyes.
For a sophisticated look:
1. Apply a more intense shade to the entire mobile eyelid to open up the eyes, then add a darker shade along the lashline to add definition.
2. Blend outwards on the entire mobile eyelid.
3. Highlight by applying a lighter shade under the eyebrow arch and at the inner corner of the eye to create an even more intense contrast that structures the eyes.
And here are the swatches! I’m posting 2 photos from two different angles.
I think the pigmentation is great. There’s nothing for me to complain about this palette at all. It’s just not my style because I don’t usually wear warm toned shadows.
Some more closeups:
Note that the top shade is the primer.
Next is the Dior Backstage Rosy Glow Blush - 001 Light Pink- awakening universal blush - natural healthy glow.
Brand’s description: Rosy Glow Blush is the Dior makeup artists' secret weapon to create the appearance of naturally rosy cheeks for a fresh glowy effect.
This healthy glow booster brightens the cheeks with natural-looking color, like a breath of fresh air. Infused with Color Reviver technology, it reacts to the skin's moisture level upon application for a customized rosy effect.
1. Apply Dior Backstage Rosy Glow Blush using the N°16 Blush brush, lightly stroking the tops of the cheekbones.
2. Wait a few moments for the custom, ultra-natural pink shade to be revealed.
I’ve seen this blush all over instagram and of course I had to swatch it when I had the chance. However, the color wasn’t very pretty in my opinion. The powder was hard and not buttery, and it was just aweful. It felt like a cheap drugstore blush. But maybe it was a bad tester.
