Sephora Thailand Niche skin Edit: Luna Sleeping Night OIl, Indie Lee Squalane Facial Oil, Bybi Bakuchiol Booster, PSA The Most Hyaluronic Super Nutrient Hydration Serum
This post is all about niche skincare brands! Some of them you must have heard about like Sunday Riley, but some I’m sure you haven’t heard. Sephora Thailand is the exclusive distributor of these niche brands and I’m really glad we finally have these brands.
First up is the Indie Lee Squalane Facial Oil
Brand’s description: Smoothe & Soften :-Plump it up with this pure, intensive moisturizing oil. Readily absorbed, 100% Olive-derived Squalane leaves the complexion soft, nourished and best of all, never greasy. Your skin's texture and tone will thank you.
- Squalane Oil boosts moisture retention and helps diminish the appearance of fine lines
- Great for all skin, including oily
- Formulated without essential oils
- Apply to freshly cleansed skin, morning and evening.
- Mix with your favorite foundation for a dewy glow.
I actually like this oil. It’s not too oily or greasy. I can wear it alone and not feel too annoyed. But I feel like I like to use this and then follow with a face mask. It feels like my skin gets to absorb this oil better.
Next is PSA Purposeful Skincare by Allies The Most Hyaluronic Super Nutrient Hydration Serum. I’m pretty sure this brand (PSA) is new to many people, and it’s new to me too. There are 4 steps in their skincare routine but I have only tried the Serum. Their 4 steps are: Cleanse, Mask&Tone, Serums, Moisturize.
Brand’s description: When the thirst is real, dehydrated skin doesn’t just need a bit more moisture — it needs The Most. This nutrient-packed hydrating serum is like an island oasis for stressed out, hungover, dull, and dehydrated skin. It provides essential hydration immediately while helping skin cells better retain moisture overall for plump and supple skin.
This nutrient-packed hydrating serum is like an island oasis for stressed-out, hungover, dull and dehydrated skin. When the thirst is real, having a multi-compound Hyaluronic Acid complex is even better so the differently-sized molecules can penetrate the skin more thoroughly; hydrating multiple layers. Also formulated with Panthenol & Bisabolol, which helps to soothe and heal irritated skin, while Sodium PCA & Allantoin binds and replenishes moisture, as it stimulates healthy skin regeneration. Lastly, Kombucha and antioxidant-rich Acai Berry works hard to protect against free radical damage and tackle hyperpigmentation, leading to an overall brighter, plump and supple complexion.
Skin Type: Combination, Dry, Normal, Oily, Sensitive
Skin Concerns: Dryness, Dullness, Pigmentation & Dark Spots, Uneven Skin Tone
Skincare By Age: 20s, 30s, 40s, 50+, Under 20
What else you need to know:
pH: 5 - 5.5
Clinically Tested: Chirally Correct, Hypoallergenic, Dermatologist-Tested.
Made Without: Silicones, Mineral Oil, Parabens, Polyethylene Glycol, Sulfates, Triclosan, DEA/TEA, Phthalates, Drying Alcohol, Synthetic Dyes and Fragrances.
I like this serum. It is absorbed into my skin pretty quickly and doesn’t leave a sticky or oily residue behind. My skin feels moisturized, and healthy. I have not seen any wow-ing results though (since I don’t have many skin problems to begin with).
In my opinion, I think it is a really nice serum at an affordable option, but I probably reach for other serums in my collection more often than this one.
Next is the Sunday Riley Luna Sleeping Night Oil
Brand’s description:
A next-generation retinol oil that boosts the look and feel of skin plumpness, while improving the appearance of wrinkles, redness, and pores for visibly younger-looking skin.
Luna works throughout the night to deliver visibly youthful, luminous, even-toned skin in the morning. Trans-retinoic acid ester complex reduces the appearance of pores and wrinkles, while visibly improving the signs of premature aging: fine lines, uneven texture, age spots, dryness, and dullness. Balanced with blue tansy and German chamomile essential oils, both rich in soothing, blue azulene, visible redness and the signs of sensitivity are neutralized, for a calm, even-toned complexion.
DIRECTIONS: Apply at night, to clean, dry face. Luna goes from blue to clear when massaged into the skin. Not for use during pregnancy.
NEXT DAY: Skin tone, dryness, redness, and luminosity are instantly, visibly improved.
IN 4 WEEKS: The appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and other visual signs of aging are effectively minimized, revealing younger-looking, smoother, and more radiant skin.
KEY INGREDIENTS
TRANS-RETINOL: Belongs to a class of chemical compounds termed retinoids, it's the potent ester of all-trans retinoic acid. Helps fight the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines, promote skin elasticity, and stimulate exfoliation for clearer, smoother skin. Not appropriate for use during pregnancy.
BLUE TANSY, GERMAN CHAMOMILE, AND CAPE CHAMOMILE ESSENTIAL OILS: Deep blue-green oils, rich in potent azulene. Wonderful for soothing the look of surface redness.
AVOCADO SEED OIL: Great for plumping fine lines. Rich in anti-aging vitamins B,C,D,E, and A.
CHIA SEED OIL: Richest botanical source of Omega 3. Powerful source of ALA, which helps minimize the appearance of lines.
I have tried the Luna sleeping oil for a while and I gotta say I really like it. I’m normally not a fan of face oils, but this one doesn’t feel greasy or oily once applied. I have yet to notice any improvements (because my skin doesn’t have that many problems) but I like the way it feels on my skin. I am giving this to my mom to see whether she sees better results.
I have also reviewed other Sunday Riley items as well, link below:
Next is the Bybi Bakuchiol Booster
Sephora website description: A natural oil blend to soften and smooth your skin. This natural oil offers the same benefits as retinol without the irritation. Bakuchoil also stimulates collagen production to improve your skin's texture, avoiding side-effects such as dry or flakey skin, inflammation or increased photosensitisation. Teamed with the skin-softening properties of olive squalane, this treatment delivers a powerful boost for your skin.
Made from naturally-derived ingredients
Certified cruelty-free
Vegan
Comes in sustainable packaging
Bybi website: Bakuchiol Booster is a 100% natural, vegan-friendly alternative to retinol (vitamin A). A night-time booster to supplement your existing skincare products, it stimulates collagen production and dramatically improves the texture of your skin, without irritating it. Bakuchiol derives from the babchi plant and is used in both Ayurvedic and Chinese medicine.
I feel like this booster is best used as a mixture with other skincare because by itself it is just way too oily. It was so oily that I couldn’t leave it on my face because it will smear my pillowcase and had to wash it off (and washing it off was hard too. The oil really stuck to my skin). Also I suggest using just a small amount so it doesn’t overwhelmed whatever skincare you’re mixing it with. I think its nice once you mix it with other less oily skincare, and its quite affordable .
