Laura Mercier Piece de Resistance Eye & Cheek Essentials Palette review & Swatches
Brand’s description: Decorate colorful on your face with Piece De Resistance Eye & Cheek Essentials from LAURA MERCIER that inspired by the stage grace of the Parisienne ballerina, this limited-edition double palette features 15 bouncy eyeshadows that range from sheer and shimmering to high-drama deep pigments. An artistry-curated trio of bronzer, blush and highlighter illuminates cheeks in universally flattering shades, with a sleek removable mirror that separates each palette.
I feel like this is one of Laura’s most underrated palettes. I was so amazed by how pretty all the shades are and the formula is amazing as well! Usually my Iphone wouldn’t be able to capture all the shifts of shimmer eyeshadows but these shades showed up perfectly on my phone camera (Imagine how pretty they would look in outdoor lighting!).
The formula is bouncy, gel cream like and applied very easily like a cream eyeshadow. The finish is beautiful, but I’m not sure about the longevity.
Eyeshadow Shades Include: Odette, Muslin, Gauze, Lace, Tulle Jacquard, Velveteen, Étoile, Sylphide, Chiffon Petticoat, Mesh, Satin Slippers, Sugarplum, Odile
See what I mean? The shimmers are soooo fine and the duo chrome shades showed up so perfectly! I totally recommend this palette!
The other side of the palette include cheek shades.
Cheek Shades Include: Charmeuse, Tutu, Grand Tier, Orchestra
These are a normal powder formula, but they are gorgeous nonetheless. I think the shades a better suited to fair-medium skin. Darker than that and these shades won’t show up at all.
