Jouer Sheer Pigment Lipgloss + Long Wear Creme Lip Liners+ Essential High Coverage Creme Foundation review and swatches
I recently acquired some new Jouer goodies, and I posted them all in this blog. There are Lipglosses, Lip Liners, and their new High Coverage foundation. Let’s see what I think of them :)
First up are the Sheer Pigment Lip Gloss.
I have 6 shades: St.Germain, Oxford St, Diamond Walk, Worth Ave, Serrano, Via Condotti.
Here’s the brand’s description:
This lightweight, non-sticky gloss glides on smoothly, delivers a sheer wash of color and moisturizes the lips with Jojoba Seed Oil and Coconut Oil.
Lightweight
Jojoba Seed Oil
Coconut Oil
Warm and Cool Shades
Non-sticky Formula
I think these are really nice. They are not pigmented, so they are perfect for anyone looking for a natural tint.
These are not sticky at all, and they are super comfortable on the lips. The oils in there feel really moisturizing. There’s nothing bad to say about it really. Oh, the light shades tend to come out looking the same on my pigmented lips, so I think you won’t need all shades.
First up are the three nude shades.
St.Germain
Oxford St.
And Diamond Walk
Next are more darker, brighter shades.
Serrano
Via Condotti
And the swatches!
Some more closeups. St Germain and OXford St look similar don’t they.
That’s it for the lipglosses, if you’re interested in other Jouer lip products, you can check them out on the blogs below.
Next are the Long Wear Creme Lip Liners
Here’s the brand’s description:
Thin, ultra-pigmented cream lip liner crayon delivers high pigment color with a fast-drying formula designed to prevent feathering and fading. Use as a lip liner or as a base for your favorite lip color. Built-In sharpener included.
Long-Wear
Vitamin E
Water-Resistant
Dermatologist Tested
I have 6 shades: Fawn, Tawnyrose, Petal, Aubergine, Rosewood, Bronze Shimmer
These are really really long wearing.
Here are more closeup swatches.
And lastly the Essential High Coverage Creme Foundation
I was actually pretty excited when Jouer first announced they were coming out with a new foundation. It was teased as super high coverage and come in a large shade range. There are 50 shades in total!!! And after trying them, now I know why they needed this many shades. Read on to find out why.
First, here’s the brand’s description: Supreme coverage, lightweight, and long wearing. Essential High Coverage Crème Foundation creates an impeccable, airbrushed matte finish instantly. Simply smooth a small amount of the concentrated formula onto the skin with Jouer’s Essential Precision Foundation Brush and buff to reveal your perfect complexion. Weight fill: 0.68 fl oz. / 20 mL
Chamomile Extract
Cucumber Extract
Hyaluronic Acid
Tripeptide Complex
Matte
Oil Free
I got the shade Pearl, which is for fair skin.
It pumps out like this. You can just tell from this drop that the coverage is super high.
OK blending . . holy s#it this is seriously the foundation which has the most coverage I have tried in my life. it’s almost as thick as concealer! This foundation won’t allow your natural skin color to be seen at all, so it’s really important that you choose the RIGHT shade for your skin, or you’ll end up looking like you’re wearing a mask. So I totally suggest you go try it before buying if possible.
It even covers up my tattoo!
OK yiou can still see the tattoo underneath once the foundation is blended out, but I gotta say this is really super high coverage. I would use this concealer lol
Since I don’t have that many imperfection son my face, I will probably get to use this on some areas only, and not my entire face. The texture is quite thick and tacky, and not for those looking for a natural finish. It’s quite cakey, if you use a lot. I think it works better mixed with liquid highlighter, to add more glow to the matteness. But that’s just me, if you like full coverage, you might like it. However, I prefer to use powder foundation when I want a full coverage look.
So that is it guys, I hope you found this post to be helpful!
