Pixi Beauty +C Vit Brightening Collection Review & Swatches
Hello everyone, Pixi Beauty recently released their new C Vit collection, and I got the reviews for you here.
I have to be honest, at first I thought they are skincare items, but actually they are base makeup/ skin prepping items!
I received these as PR, but all opinions are entirely my own.
OK first up is the Pixi +C Vit Priming Oil.
Brand’s description: Infused with Vitamin-C, this tri-phase oil nourishes, energises and balances to prep and prime for a radiant glow.
• Absorbs instantly, leaving skin hydrated, smooth and ready for flawless makeup application.
• Hydrates while prepping skin.
• Calms skin for flawless makeup application.
• "This silky dry-oil keeps my skin hydrated, plump & calm all day, I use it daily under makeup." - Petra
• Lightweight formula
• Suitable for all skin types
• Use daily, or as often as needed.
• Gently shake to mix & smooth on a few drops into skin in between Skintreats routine and makeup application.
This oil is a tri-phase formula. When not used, the three layers separate from each other, but once shaken they mix together.
I’m normally not a fan of face oils, so I wasn’t expecting much from this oil (let alone using it under my makeup).
This oil feels like a hybrid between an oil and a serum. It doesn’t feel oily AT ALL. TO be honest I thought I was using a serum. Like the brand claims, it is instantly absorbed into my skin, without leaving any residue. I was so amazed. I’m now using this oil so often in the mornings.
Next is the +C Vit Lip Brightener.
Brand’s description: Inspired by nature, this Vitamin-C infused lip balm smooths with a hint of tint and shine.
• Vitamin-C Core Lip Balm
• Treat dry lips with this super-nourishing balm.
• Intense moisture with luminous shine.
• Weightless feel on lips.
• Hint of shine for a healthy finish.
• Apply to lips as needed.
• Use alone or under lip products.
This lip balm is like a tinted lip balm. Nothing really special about this one. My lips feel nourished, and it does have a healthy tint making my lips flushed. But apart from that, there’s nothing that makes this balm stand out.
Next, the +C Vit Under Eye Brightener.
Brand’s description: This Vitamin-C infused under eye perfector blurs and energises to give an instant awakening effect. Refreshing treatment in a tube brightens and restores vibrancy.
• Added illuminating pigments and Licorice energise the eye.
• Soothes delicate skin around eyes.
• Instantly erases dullness.
• Makes a great base for under eye concealer.
• "This is all I need for under my eyes to look refreshed in an instant!" - Petra
• Suitable for all skin types
• Tap to apply under eye area.
• Use alone or under concealer.
I don’t really have problems with my undereye, so I can’t really tell how effective this product it.
Bu what I can do is comment on the formula. It’s lightweight, easy to blend, and has fine pearls, helping to illuminate the area applied. It has a tint, which is a bit darker than my skin, so if you’re pale, you will need to use a lighter concealer over this product.

And lastly is the +C Vit Brightening Perfector.
Brand’s description: Vitamin-C infused complexion enhancer blurs and perfects to give skin a dewy radiant finish.
• Use solo or under makeup for added complexion perfection.
• Skin perfecting enhancer
• Tone correcting
• Blurs imperfections
• Brightens for a radiant glow
• "No foundation needed! Just a dab of this makes it easy for flawless looking skin!" - Petra
• Suitable for all skin types
• Apply coin-size amount all over face moving outward and upward prior to applying makeup.
To me, this cream reminds me of a BB cream (korean faze that got me into makeup in the first place). It’s a brightening cream, with very fine pearls. Once blended, my skin is a slight shade lighter, and is glowing. I can definitely wear this alone, or under concealer. I have nothing bad to say about it at all. It does exactly what it claims.
Below are the swatches:
And once it sets, my skin is basically glowing.
