Ouai Body Products Review: Scalp& Body Scrub, Body Creme, Rose Hair and Body Oil, North Bondi&Melrose Place Fragrances

Hello everyone. Another day of quarantine, another blog. This one will be about Ouai/s body products! I have expressed before how much I love their hair products, but they have since then expanded their product range to include all sorts. This blog will be on those items. Haircare Haul and My obsession with Ouai: the best smelling hair products ever!

First up is the Scalp and Body Scrub.

Well, to be hair, this is also a hair product, but I will group this with my Ouai body products because I prefer to use this on my body than my hair.

Brand’s description: This deep-cleansing, foaming scrub is like a trip to rehab for your scalp and skin. A weekly detox powered by gently exfoliating sugar crystals to cleanse and soften skin and a dose of probiotics to leave your skin’s natural defenses on high alert.

There are two uses for this scrub, for scalp and for body:

Section wet hair to reveal scalp and massage in circular motions to gently exfoliate. Rinse.
Apply to damp skin and massage in circular motions to gently exfoliate. Rinse.

Notes: Rose, Bergamot, Lychee, Cedar-wood, and White Musk.

Next is the newest item in my collection, and probably my favourite in this whole blog!

The Body Creme

Brand’s description: Get skintimate with our velvety-soft whipped body crème. It has cupuaçu butter and coconut oil to deeply nourish and hydrate, squalane (a powerful antioxidant moisturizer) to treat dry skin, and our all-new, warm and floral scent: Shibuya. Lay it on thick—it absorbs quickly and leaves your skin soft and smooth.

FRAGRANCE

Shibuya: Mediterranean Citrus, Warm Spices, Rose, Violet and White Musk.

KEY INGREDIENTS

Cupuaçu butter
Coconut Oil
Squalane

At first to me this looked like a think heavy cream. And it is to a certain point. It was thick and a little sticky when I dipped my fingers in there, but once applied it was totally different.

Like I was expecting it to be heavy and get stuck to my pajamas but they don’t at all! The seemingly thick cream is absorbed completely and I am left in awe of what exactly happened. It dries up like when on a body serum. No traces left at all. I am very amazed!

Also the scent is really heavenly. The fragrance name is Shibuya which is a new scent. I’m really looking forward to more products with this scent cause I love it!

Next is another product which I bought for my hair and ended up using on my body, the Rose Hair & Body Oil.

FRAGRANCE- Melrose Place: Rose, Bergamot, Lychee, Cedar-wood, and White Musk.

To me, I felt like this oil was a bit too oily for my hair, as I prefer more of a serum type hair oil. So I use this as a body oil and I love it! Especially that it has the Melrose Place scent, it just makes my skin smell great and like I was wearing the Melrose Place Fragrange!

And lastly because I love the scents of all Ouai products so much, I just had to buy the perfume with the same scents.

Ouai North Bondi Eau De Parfum & Melrose Place Eau De Parfum

North Bondi has a clean scent. I don’t really know how to describe scents, but it felt clean, and relaxing, like you’re in a spa.

Melrose Place reminds me of another perfume I’ve smelt as a child but I can’t for the life of me figure out what it was.. It has a more rose/fruity feel to it amd I would explain it as “cheerful”.

Ouai North Bondi Eau De Parfum

Brand’s description: A nuanced blend of rich florals and sheer white musk, inspired by the meeting of the city and the sea at Sydney’s Bondi Beach. It has notes of Italian Lemon, Rose De Mai, Magnolia, Lily, Blackberry, Violet, Cedar-wood, Amber, Patchouli, Sandalwood, and White Musk.

Ouai Melrose Place Eau De Parfum

Brand’s description: Like our Rose Hair & Body Oil, Melrose Place’s fragrance is infused with hints of a verified Instagram account, valet parking, bergamot, lychee, cedar-wood and white musk.
