Hello peeps, for a while now Colourpop releases a sister skincare brand called Fourthray Beauty. They have the same allure as colourpop, affordable prices, clean and cute packaging.

First up is the cleansing Oil:

CLEANSING OIL

Brand’s description: a cleansing oil that instantly dissolves and removes makeup and impurities, revealing healthy, clean skin. formulated with nutrient-rich camellia, juniper berry, and meadowfoam seed oils to purify without stripping natural moisture – leaving skin soft and clean. Apply directly to dry skin & massage thoroughly. next, add water & continue massaging skin. rinse thoroughly.

I think this is a decent cleansing oil, considering the price point. It’s far from being my favourite cleansing oil, but it does the job. I mean it washed off my makeup, and my skin doesn’t feel irritated by it, so I say this cleansing oil passed the test.

Fourth Ray Beauty Am to the PM Gel Cleanser

Next is the AM to the PM GEL CLEANSER

Brand’s description: the ultimate daily face wash. developed to gently and effectively dissolve and wash away dirt and makeup without over drying or stripping the skin of natural hydration. a complex of natural botanicals leave the skin clean, comfortable, and fresh.

wet face first. put one to two pumps on wet hands, rub together to lather, & massage onto face & neck. rinse with warm water.

I really like this cleanser. It has a clean fruity scent, reminds me of some kind of candy actually, and its makes my face even cleaner after using the cleansing oil (when I double cleanse). It also feels good to use in the morning, my face feels refreshed. At this price point, I really recommend it!

Fourth Ray Beauty Keep Clear Clarifying Tonic

Next, the Keep Clear Clarifying Tonic

Brand’s description: a concentrated, non-drying toner that quickly removes surface impurities to clarify and balance the skin. contains a blend of willow bark, papaya enzymes, and witch hazel which provides strong antioxidant and exfoliating properties, resulting in a clearer complexion.

saturate a cotton pad, swipe onto clean skin over the face and neck, day & night, avoiding the eye area.

I actually like this tonic! To me, it smells like teatree and my face felt fresh and clear after I use. There was no irritation for me. Overall with this price, I think it’s OK!

Fourth Ray Beauty The Lightweight Moisturizer

Next, The Lightweight Moisturizer

Brand’s description: provides oil-free, refreshing hydration for healthy, balanced skin. the lightweight is a fluid formula containing naturally derived squalane. it absorbs quickly without the greasy residue, leaving skin soft, smooth, and makeup ready. developed without dyes, harsh chemicals or fragrances that can cause irritation and breakouts.

massage onto clean skin using upward strokes. layer on as much as your skin needs. perfect for day time.

Now with this moisturizer, I kind of have a problem with it. But we’ll get to that later. The texture IS lightweight just like the description says, so I should have liked it right? Well my skin seems to be irritated right after I apply it on so I had to wash it off after 5 mins. Yea that’s the problem, my skin hates it. I’d also like to mention that it has a pretty unpleasant scent.

Fourthray Beauty Later Hater Spot Treatment

Lastly for this post, the Later Hater SPOT TREATMENT

Brand’s description: an overnight spot treatment formulated with soothing ingredients to help reduce breakouts. this two-phase pink solution targets spots with a highly effective blend of salicylic acid, sulfur, and calamine. later hater provides relief without leaving your skin itchy, flaky or irritated. apply directly onto spots before bedtime to help dry up impurities while you sleep.

APPLICATION TIPS

before bed, dip a cotton swab into the pink solution at the bottom of the bottle. dab directly on the spot & let it dry. rinse off in the morning. do not shake bottle. store upright. wait for product to settle before using.

I have tried this kind of spot treatment before with the Indie Lee Blemish Lotion so technically I didn’t need this one but I was curious so I tried it.

So what you do it dip a cotton bud into the pink sediment and dab it on your pimples/acne. I’ve been having large pimples during my period so I decided to try using this. Well first of all, the smell was so pungent that I wheezed my nose, second it stung my skin when I dab it on my pimple, three there was really no difference the next morning.

I also tried it on my boyfriend’s pimples and the first thing he comments is “this thing smells bad”.

So my recommendation? No don’t buy it. Period.
