Fourth ray Beauty Part 2: Watermelon, Rose, Acai, Turmeric face milks
Hello and welcome to part 2 of my Fourth Ray skincare haul. Part 2 will be about 4 face milks, most of which, unfortunately, I don’t like. But before we go on here are links for part 1, 3, and 4:
I have to admit it was absolutely unnecessary to purchase all 4 face milks because I think they’re not all that different. But I was a bit crazy during Black Friday and that’s how I ended up with 4.
OK First up is the Watermelon Face Milk. This one was the first one I bought, and the one I was looking forward to the most, but it turned out to be a disappointment.
Brand’s description: A refreshing drop of moisture to balance skin. Formulated with Watermelon Seed Oil, Bamboo Milk, Cucumber Water, and Aloe, this lightweight formula will replenish hydration for a healthier, softer complexion. apply 2-3 drops into palms, warm between hands, & gently press into skin. use as needed.
I felt like I at least expected a watermelon scent from this face milk but the scent was a dud. I can’t even tell what kind of scent it was because it seemed to be like there was no scent at all.
I felt like it didn’t really do anything to my skin. I put this on before i take a nap and when I wake up my skin didn’t feel any different. So for me this is a dud.
Next is Rose Face Milk.
Brand’s description: a silky drop of comfort to soothe irritated, unhappy skin. formulated with argan milk, rose milk, oat and chamomile, this formula will nurture your complexion with soothing moisture. apply 2-3 drops into palms, warm between hands, & gently press into skin. use as needed.
Can you believe it this one I actually hated more than the watermelon milk. It had a weird scent, nowhere as close as a rose. It also made my skin feel weird after I put it on. I tried to wait it out to see if it got better, but I may have had a reaction to it. So after 10 mins I had to wash it off. Erm, no.
Next is the Acai Face Milk which is the only one I think is OK out of the four that I’ve tried.
Brand’s description: a drop of moisture that is loaded with antioxidants to protect skin from pollution. formulated with açaí extract, dragonfruit oil, passionfruit extract, and white hibiscus milk, this formula supports a healthy barrier to shield against environmental damage. apply 2-3 drops into palms, warm between hands, & gently press into skin. use as needed.
This one had a gentle scent and when I put it on my face it actually felt kind of nice. Like how a real face milk should feel. I haven’t tried it for long enough to see any skin benefits, but I would say this one passed.
Lastly The Turmeric Face Milk.
Brand’s description: a subtle, illuminating moisture booster for radiant skin. formulated with turmeric oil, almond milk, camu camu, and licorice, this formula will brighten the complexion for an overall healthy glow. apply 2-3 drops into palms, warm between hands, & gently press into skin. use as needed
This one was OK. It does have a subtle illuminating texture to it, like very very very very fine pearls. I’d say this one is best for the morning. However, I prefer other serums for my morning routine and so I won’t be reaching for this one much. Overall it’s OK but I don’t recommend it.
And that’s it for the Fourth Ray Beauty Face Milks. Sorry most of them didn’t work for me. Do they work for you?
