Huxley Secret Of Sahara Review Part 3: Cleansing products Oil, Cleansing Water, Scrub Mask
Welcome to part 3! This will consist of all the Huxley cleansing products that I bought, starting with the Cleansing Oil.
Before we go on, here are links to previous parts and also following parts:
First up is the Huxley Cleansing Oil Deep Clean Deep Moist
Brand’s description: A lightweight cleansing oil that gently removes makeup and impurities. Formulated with antioxidant-rich Prickly Pear Seed Oil, this cleansing oil leaves skin refreshingly clean and silky smooth without heavy residue.
01 All-in-one cleanser and make-up remover
02 Lightweight and hydrating
03 Nourishes skin for a soft, supple texture
Main Ingredients
Annatto oil complex
Calendula oil & extract
Sea Buckthorn oil
How to use
Apply oil to palms and gently massage in circular patterns add water to emulsify into a cleansing milk and continue to massage. Rinse with lukewarm water.
This is now one of my favourite cleansing oils. I reach for it almost everyday. I love the iconic Huxley scent, and it washes off my makeup easily. Once mixed with water, it turns into a milky texture. I wash it off with water and follow with another face wash (because I always double cleanse).
Next is the Cleansing Water Be Moist
Brand’s description: A cleansing water formulated with Huxley’s signature Prickly Pear Seed Oil and Cactus Extract. This cleanser gently removes makeup, dirt, impurities, and other pollutants without irritation while moisturizing skin.
01 Antioxidant-rich cactus water
02 Smoothes and refines skin texture
03 Cleanses and hydrates skin
Main Ingredients
Natural Moisturizing Factor
Orange & Lemon Extract
Centela Asiatica Extract
Betula Alba Bud Extract
How to use
Sweep a cotton pad soaked in cleansing water gently over the skin in an outward motion. Repeat until no residue is visible and pat the skin gently.
Now this is a normal cleansing water, with the added Huxley scent. I don’t really see anything special about this, but it does the job well, just not with the WOW factor.
Lastly is the Huxley Scrub Mask Sweet Therapy
Brand’s description: A scrub and mask hybrid that exfoliates dead skin cells and clears impurities with natural exfoliants such as loofah, ground walnut shells, and white sugars. This mask makes skin clear, silky smooth and hydrated.
01 Softens and improves skin texture
02 Strengthens skin's natural barrier
03 Replenishes moisture for daytime or nighttime use
Main Ingredients
Raw Sugar
Luffa
Walnut Shell Powder
How to use
Massage product onto wet skin in circular motions, avoiding eye area, to remove dead skin cells. Wash off with lukewarm water.
Now I wanted to love this mask, but I just don’t. I think out of all the items I purchased in this haul, this was the one that let me down the most. Although it is called a mask, it is actually a face scrub. I find this scrub to be way too abrasive, it just hurts my skin. So I just can’t use it anymore. Nothing else to be said. I prefer much more subtle scrubs (for example the Tatcha Polishing Powder).
