Pat McGrath Luxe Trance Lipsticks Review
I don’t think I need to explain much about these. Following the success of Pat McGrath Labs Matte Trance Lipsticks, she decided to come out with a cream lipstick! These are called Luxe Trance. And they are just so luxe.
They are in the same packaging as the Matte Trance, in a black and gold bullet with gold lips at the base. The container packaging is also in the same theme. Each shade has a different design on the box, and it opens sideways like an envelope.
I got five shades, Donatella, Valetta, Sextrology, Tropicalia, and Mcgrath Muse.
Here is Mother’s description of these lippies: “Lavishly laminate lips with sensuously saturated colour while providing rich hydration and protection from free radicals. Each signature shade offers every complexion a personalised couture look. Hypnotize and exude luxury with lips transformed into objects of ravishing desire”
- A sumptuous innovative formulation glides on while hugging every edge and curve, leaving a silky smooth veil of alluring colour.
- Water Lily extract offers hydrating and protecting properties.
- Formulation wears with excellent adherence and zero bleeding.
- Pigments and textures penetrate lips with a rich film for seamless, one-stroke coverage.
- Patent-pending Biomimetric pigments shield lips against harmful agents, ensuring high comfort and intense colour payoff.
After trying them, I think the formula is great! Creamy, and really comfortable to wear. One of the best cream lipsticks definitely. Actually I can’t really pick a favourite, so I will say these are one of the best haha.
The nude shades are just divine. I’ve been wearing them to work often. They also pair up well when I do a smokey eye.
I took so many photos of them, and can’t decide which to post. So my solution is to post them all lol. They are taken in different lighting so the same shade might look different in each photo. That’s also why I want to post many photos as well, to let you guys see how they look under different lights.
First is Donatella. This is such a lovely nude shade.
Second is Valetta, which is a bit darker than Donatella. This one is a pinky-peach nude.
Next is my favourite out of the bunch. Sextrology. It is just my perfect pink lipsticks. Personally I don’t like pink based lipsticks, but i dig this shade! It’s just not too pink, not too pale, not too orchis. Just perfect.
This is such a lovely pink shade, perfect for spring! Ive been looking for pink lipsticks lately, and this one is just so so perfect.
Next are the bold shades!
First up is Tropicalia. This is such a nice coral shade, not too bold, but photo striking.
And last is McGrath Muse, a striking muted red, so classic and easy to wear. I know I own many red lipsticks already. But I mean who can resist another cream red lipstick?

OK and here are the swatches!
More closeups.
OK one more photo haha.
