Kiko summer 2017 haul and reviews
Hello there guys, today I thought I’d share with you my Kiko Cosmetics haul from Dubai.
Kiko has been a brand I couldn’t get my hands on (they’re not available anywhere near here) so I had to visit their shop in Dubai. I used to go there all the time when I studies in London, but that’’s not the case anymore. The price in Dubai definitely more expensive than in other countries (or at least more expensive than in the UK), but the prices of Kiko products are pretty affordable in the first place so it wasn’t much of a pain to pay a bit more. I grabbed their summer collection and their baked duo eyeshadows, some foundation , and some nail polish.
First up is the Stick for Lips and Cheeks in shade 06. To be honest I thought this was a lipstick but apparently you can use it on the cheeks too. Not sure how that’ll work since the texture is matte, I’ll only use it as a lipstick anyways. I’d say the formula is pretty comfortable and the color is very wearable (good for the office too). Also I love the pink gold packaging. Check out the swatch below.
Next up is the The Summer 2.0 Baked Blush from in shade 01 Natural Beach. I think the name sums it up pretty well, its perfect for the beach. The left shade is a matte nude color and the right shade is a shimmery pink. At first I hesitated because the pink looked too dark but the BA told me its supposed to be swirled together. Once mixed, it’s a lovely peachy pink color.
Swatches for the left side, right side, and mixed.
Next, Soft Focus Mineral Foundation in shade 02. My problem is mineral foundations was its pretty hard to apply, the powder goes everywhere and its hard to keep them clean. But when I saw how convenient this powder is, I thought I’d give it a try. The top opens up as a sponge and you kinda dab the amount you need. Application is nice, and it last for a good amount of time before it loses to the humidity in Bangkok.
I also got the Glitter Metal Nail Laquer in shade 001 and 002. They’re too pretty not to buy. I love Kiko nail polishes especially for their nudes (I got almost all of their nude shades), and how they’re very fast drying. So I thought I’d give their metallic a try.
Lastly is the Bright Duo Baked eyeshadows in shade 04 and 16. 04 has a soft shimmering green with reflective gold and dark brown with gold shimmer. Shade 16 has a shimmering pink and a brown shade. Both duos are pretty easy to use and are ideal for travel. Also, the price is very affordable too. Onto the swatches!
So that’s it for my Kiko haul, has anyone picked any of these up?
