Hourglass Confession Lipsticks Vault

Everyone, today I’m gonna review the most expensive makeup I have ever bought : The Hourglass Confession Lipsticks vault! This contains 32 shades (30 existing and 2 exclusive shades) of the Confession lipsticks. To be fair this is 32 refills plus two golden lipstick holders.

One of the main reasons I bought this set was because I have none of the shades yet, and another because I wanted to splurge on a vault, but there are so few vaults available where I live, that this was the best of the ones available. (If I live in the states I would have gone for the YSL vault or the Bite vault, but oh well, I cant move there)

HOW TO REFILL CONFESSION ULTRA SLIM LIPSTICK:
1. Hold pointed end of the gold applicator, remove gold cap and pull out lipstick barrel
2. Remove black cap of refill shade, firmly pull lipstick barrel out from the cylindrical black base. Reconnect refill black cap and base with remaining lipstick from “Step 1”
3. Hold pointed end of the gold applicator and insert new refill shade into opening until it clicks into place. Secure gold applicator cap after each use

I have always loved Hourglass powders are blushes, they’re some of the best on the market frankly. But I did not like their Lip Stylo lipsticks, which were too sheer and slippery.

But these Confession Lipsticks are the BOMB! Seriously, I’m not saying this because I got the vault, but because the formula exceeded my expectations on so many levels! It is creamy, opaque, a little sticky which gives the feeling that it will last a long time, and the shades are all super pretty! I totally agree with the brand’s claim of “Each ultra slim refillable lipstick delivers saturated, longwearing color with a satin finish”. This is obviously one of the best cream formulas in the market hands down.

I’ve been asked to pick my favourites, and honestly, I just can’t. The nudes have their own mantra, the pinks are so wearable, and the reds and deeps are just gorgeous. Just pick the shade that you like, that’s my suggestion haha.

Now there’s also a Con to these. The size is tiny, so you only get limited usage, it’s not for everyday use. However, this is perfect for someone who never finishes their lipstick (aka. Me). Its such a waste to buy full tubes and never finish them. This is a good alternative to buy those deep berries or super pale nudes that you won’t ever finish. It’s also super amazing for travel. I packed a ton of these on my last trip, and they weigh nothing. Another problem with these is that it’s also a bit time consuming to change the refill shades with the holder. I pretty much don’t bother with the holder, and just use them directly from the refill tube.

Overall, I love these! Just pick up a couple and they’re just so much fun to play with!
