Pat McGrath Skin Fetish Part 2: Sublime Perfection concealer
Hello guys. This post is again from swatches that I did at my local Sephora store. I wanted to swatch and post as many things as possible on my blog so people can decide on what to buy when they shop online (like I always do). This post is all about Pat Mcgrath Concealers. I actually wrote a review on her other base products (link below), but I didn’t own the concealer. You can read more about the primer, foundation, and setting powder on yhe blogpost below.
OK moving on to the concealers.
Brand’s description: Mother’s first-ever Concealer makes every flawless face fantasy come true, delivering creamy, full coverage and a natural, radiant matte finish in 36 universal colour choices that seamlessly complement her SKIN FETISH: SUBLIME PERFECTION FOUNDATION. Longwearing, weightless and endlessly accommodating to the face’s most exquisite contours and extreme expressions, it provides sensuously smooth coverage that becomes one with the skin, mimicking its natural stretch and elasticity sans creasing or caking, No Filter Required.
An essential addition to the SUBLIME PERFECTION SYSTEM, this runway-tested, Mother-approved Concealer delivers a mesmerising multitude of transformative effects: Perfect your complexion. Brighten and blur under the eye. Illuminate the high points of the face. Contour the cheekbones, nose and jawline. Correct discolouration. Conceal breakouts. With this versatile formulation, Mother has you covered.
Like the Foundation, the Concealer is crafted with a Vita-Serum Complex designed to help fight the formation of wrinkles by preserving the hydrolipidic film barrier of the skin. (This Complex boosts hydration by activating the natural production of hyaluronic acid and ceramides.) Mother’s proprietary Flex Form Matrix powder blend ensures uniform and true colour, blending smoothly into the skin. Optically Diffusing Pigments unveil sublime soft-focus effects, elegantly improving skin texture by smoothing and blurring the appearance of fine lines and imperfections. This flexible, lightweight formula imparts superior long-lasting performance, rendering a luxe velvety texture with an exceptionally silky feel.

- Prep the under-eye and create a smooth canvas for Concealer with primer
- Apply one to three dots directly to the dark area and blend with light, smooth, even strokes.
SPOT CORRECT
- Place a small dot from the very tip of the doe foot onto the blemish and gently tap into the skin with your finger to blend. Apply one or two thin layers as needed.
HIGHLIGHT & CONTOUR
- To highlight, choose a shade two to three shades lighter than your skin tone and blend across the high points of the face.
- To contour, choose a neutral shade deeper than your skin tone and work the Concealer into the “medium duo” Brush on the back of your hand.
- Apply under your cheekbone, blending upward and back toward your ear, apply under the jawline, blending back and slightly upward. Apply to sides of nose and eye creases with the concealer brush.
BUILD COVERAGE
- Start by applying a few dots of your shade of Sublime Perfection Concealer to areas that need coverage.

ARTISTRY TIPS
EYE SHADOW BASE
- Blend a small amount of Concealer across the lid to create a flawless base that intensifies eye shadow and pigment application.
BROW BONE HIGHLIGHTING
- Apply Concealer one shade lighter than your skin tone with a flat brush. Apply tightly underneath the brows to highlight and accentuate the brow shape.
EDITING YOUR EYE LOOK
- Use an angled brush to sweep Concealer through the eye contour for an instant cut crease.
- Use a detail brush and a bit of Concealer to sharpen a wing and refine graphic shapes.
Below are swatches in various lighting. Since I did them in the store, it was pretty hard to get natural lighting.
The first set are Light.
Next are the Light Mediums.

Unfortunately Sephora Thailand has shade Medium 27 as the darkest shade, but there are actually 9 darker shades in this line.
