Orbis U Moist Skincare - U Wash, Lotion, Moisture

Hello everyone today I’m introducing you to a Japanese Brand, Orbis. I stumbled upon the store during my latest trip to Japan (which was just before covid-19 hit) and I’ve been using them for the past 1.5 years now. Finally I saw that Orbis is now available outside Japan so I decided to write this post for those for you who might be interested.

Orbis is a large brand with many skincare lines, but the particular line that I bought was a new line that they were promoting called Orbis U which focuses on moisture.

Brand’s description: The ORBIS U Series features the innovative ingredient Key Porin Booster, a blend of Eelgrass Extract, Peach Leaf Extract and Cornflower Extract, which remarkably increases the circulation of moisture in and out of cells throughout all skin layers, improving the skin’s plumpness, radiance and youthful appearance.

I got the 3 piece kit which included a face wash, face lotion and face cream.

First up is the face wash.

Brand’s description: Formulated with Moroccan Lava Clay, ORBIS U Wash draws out impurities for skin that feels clean and refreshed.

Doubling as a pre-lotion booster, it leaves Hydro Catch Ingredients on the skin that attracts moisture to skin for enhanced absorption of lotion.

To me, this is a nice face wash that does its job perfectly. I mean, I don’t expect much from a face wash to begin with and this wash does what it’s supposed to - which is clean my face and doesn’t leave my skin feeling scorching dry. There’s nothing wow-ing about it, but there’s nothing to criticize either.

Next is the Lotion.

Brand’s description: The award-winning ORBIS U Lotion has a remarkably rich texture that melts into a refreshing liquid texture upon contact with the skin, absorbing exceptionally quickly.

Delivering the rich content of Key Porin Booster it instantly permeates and drenches skin in intense hydration and protects it with a moisture veil, leaving it soft, plump and radiant.

I think this lotion is amazing! The lotion leans towards the thick side. Yes I know it may look like runny water in the bottle, but it’s actually very thick and not runny at all. I can just tell from the first use that it’s super moisturizing! I wouldn’t suggest using this if you want something refreshing. I can almost use this lotion instead of a gel cream - and its even thicker than some gel creams I’ve tried too.

I think it really lives up to the Moist line. If you want somehing for winter, this is it!

Lastly is the Moisture cream.

Brand’s description: In a unique soufflé jelly texture, ORBIS U Moisture delivers and seals in well-replenished moisture and Key Porin Booster.

Dense yet airy, it protects skin from damaging threats in a highly moisturizing yet lightweight veil, maintaining its radiance.

Ok now this is the highlight of the whole line.

First of all, lets just admire the white egg shaped packaging shall we? Such minimal design but still so chic!

Now to the formula. You might think that this is just another gel cream, but no! There’s much more than meets the eye!

The brand description says this is airy and lightweight, but I don’t quite agree with that at all. This is soooo thick and moisturizing! It’s so weird because when I first dip my fingers into the pot it felt like a normal gel cream but it’s when I applied it on my face that it feels much richer. And it gets more and more thick after I left it on my face for a while. Like it was so easy to spread on my skin but it feels more rich after application. No idea why it felt that way.

But what I’m saying is, its soooo moisturizing! If you have dry skin or is looking for something for winter, this is it! I have combination skin so I feel like this is a bit too heavy for my liking. I only use it when my skin needs extra help. Normally I prefer to use the lotion.
