Kylie Skin Review Part 2: Vitamin C Serum, Lip Mask, Sugar Lip Scrub, Makeup Removing Wipes
Hello I know it’s been a while but I’m finally done with part 2! You can take a look at part 1 in the link below:
Ok let’s start with the Vitamin C serum.
Brand’s description: Our Vitamin C Serum is packed with ingredients that penetrate the skin to help brighten and help improve overall skin health.
I think it’s quite straight forward. It’s just another Vitamin C product. I’ve tried many Vitamin C items in the past few years so I know that there are a few that I like more than this one (Kiehl’s and Pater Thomas Roth) but I wouldn’t say Kylie’s is bad. It’s just not wow-ing.
Next is the Lip Mask. Now THIS one I love!
Brand’s description: Our hydrating lip mask is a moisturizing balm that helps restore dry lips. It is formulated with a blend of oils, shea butter and Vitamin E to help lock in moisture, leaving your lips feeling smooth, soft and supple.
I am now on the 2nd pot of this mask. First of all, I love the minimal matte baby pink design. This mask now resides permanently in my travel bag, because it is so photogenic! I wear this mask during my vacays and I wake up with pretty lips perfect for photos. Nothing bad to say about this mask at all.
Next, the Sugar Lip Scrub.
Brand’s description: Our vanilla sugar lip scrub exfoliates and softens lips, leaving them smooth and prepped for product. Formulated with a blend of Shea Butter, Vitamin E, Meadowfoam, Jojoba and Grape Seed Oil extracts for ultimate kissable lips.
I have used several lip scrubs, and this scrub sites somewhere in the middle - not too bad but not too wow-ing either. Yes I prefer sugar scrubs over salt scrub (better taste). Yes I love the minimal pink packaging. Yes they exfoliate my lips. Yes it does everything that its supposed to do. There’s just no extra wow factor. *shrug*
And lastly the face wipes.
Brand’s description: Our cleansing towelettes remove dirt, oil and makeup, leaving your skin feeling fresh and looking clean.
OK I think there’s not much to day about these. They are good makeup wipes. They do their job. I have to confess I use these to wipe off makeup swatches when I shoot my swatching videos ( I normally use a cleansing oil to wash off my makeup). They do their job perfectly, but you can also get the same result from any other brand.
