Hello there everyone! This will be a long blog so brace yourselves!

This blog is all about Gisou Haircare. I have been seeing this brand on instagram for a long while but it was hard for me to buy them since they are only available in selected countried. Finally the opportunity came when I used a freight forwarding tons of stuff at the same time and so Gisou was among the brands I ordered from the US. Below is the unboxing video. I effing love everything I bought. Literally everything. It was so amazing.

The brand is focused on Honey. Everything is infused with real organic Honey. I believe the founder’s family used to run a bee farm.

I got 5 products: The Hair Wash, The Conditioner, The Hair Mask, The Hair Oil, and The Hair Perfume.

First up are of course the shampoo and conditioner. To be honest I’m not very picky with shampoos, I normally Don’t really care what shampoo I use but I care more about the conditioner because that’s the scent that’s left on my hair, and I use twice the amount of shampoo than I use conditioner so I waste more shampoo than conditioner.

But with Gisou I had to try the Shampoo because if course its honey infused and the reviews are amazing. I had also just got my hair coloured, and the brand claims that the shampoo is good for coloured hair, so of course I went for it.

Here’s the brand’s description: Gisou Honey Infused Hair Wash is a nourishing shampoo enriched with honey from the Mirsalehi bee garden, formulated to effectively yet gently cleanse hair and create a generous lather to relieve the scalp from buildup. The key ingredient is honey, which contains a blend of minerals, vitamins, amino acids and antioxidants. As a natural humectant, honey maintains the hair’s natural moisture balance, resulting in healthy, soft and refreshed hair with a silky shine. Suitable for all hair types and safely formulated for colored and chemically treated hair. Use regularly with Gisou Honey Infused Conditioner for best results.

Apply 2-3 pumps of Honey Infused Hair Wash to the hair and scalp, use more for long or thick hair. Massage evenly into a lather, then rinse thoroughly. Follow with Gisou Honey Infused Conditioner for best results. Suitable for all hair types and safely formulated for colored and chemically treated hair.

Here’s my review

It is absolutely amazing! It’s got to be my favourite shampoo ever seriously. The scent is fabulous and it feels so luxe to wash my hair. I love it so much but at the same time I’m afraid that i’ll run out. Oh the dilemma.

Next, the conditioner

Brand’s description: Gisou Honey Infused Conditioner is a nourishing, weightless conditioner enriched with honey from the Mirsalehi bee garden, formulated to gently and effectively detangle and condition hair, leaving it hydrated, manageable and strong.

After shampooing, squeeze out excess water and apply Honey Infused Conditioner from the mid-lengths to ends. Distribute evenly throughout the hair and leave on for 1-2 minutes before rinsing. Suitable for all hair types and safely formulated for colored and chemically treated hair. Use regularly with Gisou Honey Infused Hair Wash for best results.

Well if I said I love the shampoo, how is it possible that I love the conditioner even more than the shampoo?! A little goes a long way, only a small amount and my hair already feels silky and it really helps detangle my hair after shampooing really well. I think that’s all I got to say about this, everything is perfect as a hair conditioner. simply superb.

Next is the Hair Mask, which I love love love.

OK before we go anywhere, the brand says there are many ways you can use this mask. So here they are:

Gisou Honey Infused Hair Mask is an intensive nourishing mask enriched with honey from the Mirsalehi bee garden, formulated to hydrate and replenish the hair while improving its elasticity, shine and manageability. The key ingredient is honey, which contains a blend of minerals, vitamins, amino acids and antioxidants. As a natural humectant, honey maintains the hair’s natural moisture balance, resulting in healthy, soft and stronger locks with a silky shine. The Gisou Honey Infused Hair Mask is suitable for all hair-types.

1. After shampooing- Apply a generous amount of Honey Infused Hair Mask onto towel-dry hair from roots to tips. Leave in for 5-7 minutes, then rinse thoroughly. For best results, use 1-2 times a week for healthy, shiny and strong hair. Important: always apply your hair mask before using a conditioner.

2. Mix with Honey Infused Hair Oil- You can mix a few drops of Gisou Honey Infused Hair Oil with your Honey Infused Hair Mask for an even deeper nourishing treatment. Mix well and apply evenly. Leave in for 5-7 minutes, then rinse thoroughly.

3. Deep treatment- Distribute Honey Infused Hair Mask onto slightly damp hair from roots to tips. For even distribution, detangle your hair with a comb first. Massage the mask into your scalp and cover your hair with a warm towel for approximately 15 minutes. The moisture from the warm towel allows for better absorption directly into the scalp. Repeating this method will result in a healthier scalp, which is the basis for stronger locks with a silky shine. If your hair is extremely dry, apply Honey Infused Hair Mask as an overnight treatment. Rinse out in the morning and you’ll have silky soft hair.

Now I only tried Number 1 which was using after shampooing because I’m a lazy gal and the two other options are a bit too complicated lol.

First of all, I used way too much because this mask is so damn rich. I use the normal amout I use with other brands, and I should have just used half. Like that’s how rich it is. A little goes a long way, and it felt soooooo nourishing and smelt sweetly amazing.

After I washed it off I didn’t even need to put on hair oil afterwards because my hair was so silky and soft. Oh I just love it.

Now next is the masterpiece of Gisou. The Honey Infused Hair Oil. This was the first product that they developed with their honey and it’s still a best seller until today.

The oil comes in a cute pink book-like box. Inside was also a booklet about the brand. Check the video below of what’s in the box.

Again, there are many uses for this Hair Oil, so I’ll let the brand explain:

Gisou Honey Infused Hair Oil has various applications. Use daily as a pre-styler and finisher, add a few drops to your hair mask, or leave in as an overnight treatment. Honey is the key ingredient and a natural blend of minerals, vitamins, amino acids and antioxidants. It is also known as nature’s humectant, due to its moisture-retaining properties. Resulting in deeply conditioned, stronger hair.

1. Pre-styling - Gisou Honey Infused Hair Oil can be used prior to your styling routine for a nourishing effect and healthy shine. Antioxidants prevent cell damage, while amino acids stimulate hair growth, resulting in a voluminous and conditioned mane from root to tip. Simply apply 1 to 2 drops (depending on the thickness and length of your hair) at the start of your styling routine. Important: make sure the oil has been absorbed by the hair before styling. Never use heated styling tools on hair that feels wet.

2. Finishing- Never skip the finishing touch. Honey attracts and retains moisture for stronger, healthier hair. Dispense 1 or 2 drops of Gisou Honey Infused Hair Oil in the palm of your hand, warm it up by rubbing between your fingers then gently run through dry hair. Use as part of your daily styling routine or as a quick touch-up throughout the day to reduce flyaways and achieve instant shine.

3. Addition to your hair mask

Gisou Honey Infused Hair Oil can be added to your favorite hair mask to reach the core of your hair for deeper nourishment. After shampooing, take the same amount of hair mask as you would normally use in the palm of your hand. Dispense one drop (or two drops if your hair is thick) to your mask and mix together. Apply evenly from root to tip. Comb through for a smoother application and leave in for a few minutes. After rinsing, your hair will feel softer and rejuvenated. Use 1-2 times a week for reconstructive results.

4. Overnight treatment

For an intensive overnight treatment, coat your hair with Gisou Honey Infused Hair Oil. Apply two full droppers to dry hair (if you have fine hair, you might want to reduce this amount) and pay extra attention to the tips. Wrap with a towel and allow the active ingredients to work their way to the core of your hair, repairing and rebuilding every strand while you’re asleep. In the morning, rinse and lightly shampoo to start your day with luminous locks. Weekly treatment will result in voluminous, visibly stronger hair.

Again, as I am crazy ass lazy, I only use this oil for option 1 and 2 which is after I towel dry my hair, I warm the oil between my fingers and run them through the ends of my hair. And then I use the hair drier to dry just the scalp area.

When I’m using a non-Gisou shampoo, this oil helps make my hair shinier and smoother and overall less tangle. It’s also got the same sweet scent like the hair mask.

And lastly, because that sweet honey scent is too irritable, you also need the Hair Perfume to keep the scent going for days!

Gisou Honey Infused Hair Perfume can be used to finish your styling routine for a pleasant signature scent, slight nourishing effect and a healthy shine. Divide hair into sections. Spray evenly from an arm’s length throughout dry hair, then give your hair a flip to emit the fresh Gisou scent.

I am completely obsessed with this scent. On days that I don’t wash my hair (I wash my hair every 2-3 days), I spray this on and it just gives me a boost of comfidence. Especially that I now work from home, it gives me that kind of perk ready to start the day.
