Makeup Revolution Pro Hd Glow Getter palette swatches
Hey guys, I did a huge Makeup Revolution haul during my last London trip, and this palette was among them. I have been a huge fan of Makeup revolution since I was studying for my masters in London three years ago. At the time I didn't have much money and this brand makes it so much easier to splurge on makeup.
Basically they copy hit items from other high end brands and sell them at amazingly cheap prices. My first items from the brand were the Naked palette knockoffs. Along the way they have released many good quality products, like the Liquid Highlighters (a Cover FX dupe).
My only complaint about them is they have the poorest shipping I have ever seen. Back when I ordered from them in London, the package was wrapped with very minimal bubble wrap and not even shipped in a box, they were shipped in a plastic bag. Some items arrived broken and I have to email customer service after nearly every order. The refund policies are crappy, as they don't offer refunds but insisted in shipping over new items, which is OK for me.
So when I left London, I didn't dare order from them again cause i know everything will arrive broken considering the overseas shipping process and the uncarefulness of Thailand post.
So during my last London trip, I made sure I was gonna bring these home safely! Let's get started.
Here's the HD Pro Glow Getter palette, which, as some of you may notice, borrows heavily from Ofra's highlighters.
I have bought and used Ofra's highlighters, and I have to say they are much better than these. The Makeup Revolution ones are more sandy and have more fallout. The Ofra ones and much more buttery and have a cream-like texture to it. The Makeup Revolution, sadly, only looks good in the pan.
However, I have to say that since these colors aren't good for everyday anyways, buying this palette saves you so much money compared to buying from higher end brands. I mean who uses green/purple highlighters everyday? I don't for sure. This palette has it all, for when you reach for it for a Unicorn Party.
See for example the shade called Dream Kiss, which is actually 5 rainbow colors in one pan.
The swatches below are taken in the shade and in the sun.
Next, is the shade I like best, the Peach Gold Kiss. I think I can use this for everyday, and frankly, is kinda pretty!
And the rest are full pan highlighters. They range from Pink shift, blue shift, and green shift.
Swatches below!
There you have it! Onthe next posts, I will review the other palettes I bought including the HD Pro Get Baked palette, Obsession Liquid highlighters (which are amazing!), and the Makeup revolution liquid highlighters as well.
