Highlighter Haul: I heart revolution Unicorn Hearts Highlighter
First of all, I had to say I'm a sucker for cute packaging, they always get to me! So when I saw this super cute highlighter for just 4 pounds, I knew I just had to grab it. This is a copy of the Toofaced blushes and highlighters, in case you haven't noticed. Well, Makeup Revolution does have a habit of copying other brands with successful products, and it seems to be working. Seriously, Makeup Revolution/I heart Makeup/I heart Revolution makes the most appealing cheap cosmetics ever. When I say cheap, I mean it doesn't cost much, not necessarily meaning cheap quality.
I have found that Makeup Revolution/I heart Makeup/I heart Revolution don't really do a great job with their powder products as their liquid makeup. I have bought tons of their liquid highlighters that are amazingly good, so these powder highlighters seem lagging in quality compared to them. That being said, if you don't already own these unicorn-y highlighters and are looking to buy one, this is such a great alternative to more expensive brands. I'm sure you won't get to use these on a daily basis anyways, so why spend a lot of money on it? Buying from a cheaper brand (like Makeup Revolution) seems like a good idea to me.
Here’s the official description: It is the highlighter you have all been waiting for - get the magical Unicorn glow with this rainbow highlighter that blends perfectly and is as buildable as you want it to be. Get the perfect colourful iridescent rainbow glow.Made by real unicorns.
If you look at the swatches, you might be able to tell that the powders are a bit powdery and a bit chalky. I prefer the Toofaced rainbow highlighter, which has much finer shimmers, but again, that is price five times of this.
Overall, I think this is a good product for those on a budget and don't already have these rainbow highlighters, For makeup addicts like us, I think you can pass on this,
