Chanel Coco Gloss: My love for Gloss is back! + Chanel Tweed Coral blush review
I know it’s been a while since Chanel introduced their new Rouge Coco Gloss, but somehow I haven’t come around to buying them. Not sure why, but probably because 1. I already have a gazillion glosses 2. These are permanent, and so I wasn’t in a hurry to buy them. 3. I was preoccupied with other new launches 4.Somehow I felt like they were too expensive for a normal gloss, you know what I mean?
Oh well, now I regret not getting them earlier haha. And I’ll tell you why.
First of all, I finally came around to buy them at the airport dutyfree. If I wasn’t going to buy them now, then I will probably never going to buy them at all. This will be the cheapest place I can get them. So I picked up this glossy red shade No.756 and tried it on.
And holy shit it was amazing! It’s just a normal gloss, but it feels very moisturizing, non sticky, and gives my lips such a beautiful shine. I just had to have it.
And I continued to try on other shades as well. And oh my, I fell in love with two other shimmer shades, No.119 and No.724
No.119 is a mauve pink with such pretty pearls. It’s such a classic and polite shade, and its perfect for the office. It looks great on its own and on top of a lipstick. I just had to buy it
No.724 is a shimmery terracotta shade, also perfect for the office. But this one also looks great on its own on summery days.
I think the formula on these Rouge Coco Glosses are just top notch. VERY moisturizing, and non sticky. I was able to wear it during a windy day in London, and it doesn’t tangle my hair (something I have never dared to do: wear gloss on a windy day). The London air was quite dry, and I had to result to wearing No.A instead of the lipstick I brought, which felt too drying. The result? My lips looked super healthy.
Below is a photo of me wearing it in London. Sorry I didn’t take any closeup pics, but I think the smile on my face says it all haha.
I think you can kinda the glossiness from this photo.
That's it for my obsession with the Rouge Coco Gloss. Next, on to something just as exciting, the Tweed blush!
I Grabbed this stunning Les Tissages De Chanel Blush Duo Tweed Effect in shade 10 Tweed Coral from the dutyfree. I’ve been eyeing this for some time, and finally dug in. I gotta say, it’s pricey but I’m loving it! The tweed pattern is just too pretty use though. Gotta have courage and dig in!
I finally had the courage to swatch it. Here, you can see some gold flecks from the overspray. But the blush color is actually a pale coral with very very fine shimmers. It makes for such a healthy glow.
Did any of you pink up these stunning Tweed blushes?
