Kjaer weis part 2 eye shadow, Lip Tint, Lip Stick
So here is Part 2 of my Kjaer Weis haul. This post will be all about eyes and lips. In case you haven’t checked out Part 1, the link is below.
First up is the single eyeshadow. These are also refillable and so if you used up one shade, you can replace the compact with another shade. I doubt Id use up mine anytime soon though.
‘Here’s the brand’s description: Top international makeup artist, Kirsten Kjaer Weis, developed these eyeshadow shades that magically look gorgeous on everyone. Consider these shades your eye color repertoire - everything you need to create infinite versatile looks for day, night - clean and clever or smoky and smoldering. Organic, easy-to-blend, and stays put without creasing. These eyeshadows flatter all eye colors and can be layered to create dramatically different looks.
Silky, blendable texture.
Bamboo replaces synthetic silicone for a smooth feel and satin finish.
Gentle enough for sensitive eyes.
Key Ingredients
Bamboo: Rich in natural silicone, extremely important in the synthesis of collagen in the connective tissue.
Honeysuckle Extract: Antibacterial, nature’s own preservative.
Gardenia Florida Extract: Antioxidant.
I think these blend beautifully. Both shades are super pigmented and have a satin/velvety feel, which is a good thing. The only thing i have to complain about these are the fact that they are quite small and I tend to lose them in my junk pile of makeup.
Onyx is a black shadow with a subtle, silver shimmer. Onyx is the darkest, most dramatic color of the collection.
Divine is a neutral, classic gray that gives depths to the eyes without looking too harsh. Recommended for all skin tones and eye colors.
And the swatches!
OK moving on to lip products. I have one lip tint and one bullet lipstick.
First up is the Lip Tint. Like all other Kjaer Weis products, this is also refillable.
Brand’s description:
Like a lip balm and tint rolled into one, this luscious tint is crafted from certified organic ingredients and leaves a modern, sateen (but not overly shiny) finish. In a spectrum of shades to suit any occasion or mood, you’ll carry this sublimely packaged compact with you everywhere – and notice that your lips are moisturised as well as enhanced with a subtle sheen of colour.
The Kjaer Weis lip tint goes on best when applied with the fingers, or for a more defined look, using the Kjaer Weis Lip Brush. It leaves the lips moisturized, with a modern, not-too-shiny finish.
This is my second favourite item from Kjaer Weis, second after the foundation. The formula feels in between a gel and a cream but leans more towards cream. When applied, it is less balmy than other lip balms, and kinda feels like a very soft cream lipstick. I used my fingers to apply to my lips - as suggested. The color is super natural on my lips but still brightens up my face. Bottom line is I’m in love.
Below are the swatches.
It may looks a bit dark on my hand, but once applied it is sheer enough to blend into my natural lip color.
Next is the Lipstick in shade Brilliant.
Brand’s description: Benefitting from the most luxurious organic and natural ingredients on the market, this lipstick keeps lips marvellously moisturised while offering rich, velvety-smooth colour. The pretty pink and deep red and berry shades will have you hooked in an instant – luckily the luxe silver lipstick case is refillable.
Dial up your natural assets and cloak lips in rich, velvety smooth colour with Kjaer Weis’ exquisite Lipstick. Unlike many other lip colours, which can dry and irritate, this is formulated from a minimum of 95% organic ingredients, ensuring that your pout remains luxuriously smooth while it is drenched in colour. Containing beeswax to nourish lips, jojoba seed and almond oil to naturally moisturise, plus rosa rubiginosa seed oil to help fight signs of ageing by promoting tissue regeneration, it has the benefits of a balm while also boasting intensely pigmented colour.
The Kjaer Weis Lipstick is activated with the warmth of your lips and can be applied directly from the tube. Lips stay moisturized with a velvety-smooth finish.
Now what’s strange about this lipstick is that it appears to be super stiff and hard in the bullet, and at first I thought it was matte. But once applied on the lips, the formula softens and applies into a velvet finish. The brand says that “The Kjaer Weis Lipstick is activated with the warmth of your lips and can be applied directly from the tube”, and it really does what it claims.
The velvet finish is divine on my lips, and it lasted all day even after I had lunch. I’m very impressed with the longevity and how pretty this shade is. I really recommend both the lip tint and the lipstick.
