Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Eyeshadow Palette & Glowgasm palette
Two new items from Charlotte Tilbury to review today, the Pillowtalk Eye palette and the Glowgasm palette. But before we go on, if you missed my review of the new Refillable Hot Lips, be sure to check out the link below.
OK let’s start with the Glowgasm palette in Lightgasm.
This palette has 2 highlighter shades, a highlighting blush, and a bronzer. It looked quite mediocre in the launch photos, but oh boy did it blow my mind away when I tried it. It would be a shame if I diid’t pick this one up!
Here’s the brand’s description: Charlotte’s complexion-enhancing Glowgasm Face Palette is a Glowgasmic prisma highlight, multi-glow, love blush and bronze for all over ‘love-light’, rainbow-effect skin and eye gilding! It features 4 gorgeous, glowing shades to enhance every skin tone and will bring instant magic to your makeup look.
LIGHT IT: a soft champagne to highlight and illuminate your features.
GLOW IT: layer your level of illuminating glow.
POP IT: a youthful rosy blush to illuminate your skin.
BRONZE IT: a neutral cocoa to tone, sculpt and define contours.
What makes it magic:
A magical joy filter that makes your face happy!
Lustrous pearl pigments give your skin a lit-from-within glow and a dreamy rainbow-effect finish.
Brightening Glow Gel provides a glowing translucency that stretches over the skin and plays with the light.
Smoothing polymers give a gorgeous, soft-focus finish.
Use the BRONZE IT shade to contour your cheekbones and create a sun-kissed glow.
Apply POP IT to the apples of your cheeks for a youthful rosy blush.
Brush LIGHT IT along your cheekbones, cupid’s bow, over the eyelids and on the inner corner of your eyes to highlight and illuminate.
Apply GLOW IT to layer your level of illuminating glow.
To intensify the glow, wet your brush before applying!
The swatches photos really don’t do this palette justice. The shimmers are very very find and they blend into my skin so beautifully. It’s the perfect shade combination for pale skinned gals. The blush shade isn’t overly shimmery, so it will work as a blush. The bronzer shade is quite light, so no worries for those heavy handed people.
Overall, its a must have!
Next is the renowned Pillowtalk eyeshadow palette. Charlotte has come out with so many variations of her Pillowtalk shade, and this palette is another great item in this range.
At first I wasn’t sure I wanted this palette, since I normally go for the neutral-smoky eyes rather than soft pink. But in the end I couldn’t resist. I will keep this for very special occasions like weddings when I wear pink.
Brand’s description: On everyone’s lips right now, the return of Charlotte’s WORLD-FAMOUS, BEST-SELLING Pillow Talk eye shadow palette has caused MAKEUP MANIA across the globe! The Luxury Palette in Pillow Talk is a pretty, feminine every day eyeshadow palette with four shimmer and matte shades, featuring champagne pink, matte dusky rose, soft matte brown and a rose gold sparkle. This easy to use eyeshadow quad will give you romantic, wide-eyed, ‘I woke up like this’ eye makeup.
A beautifully pretty feminine, every day eyeshadow palette that gives a natural, effortless finish.
4 colour-coded, universally-flattering shades enhance all eye colours.
Universally-flattering shades suit everyone aged 18-80.
Features 2 rich, matte shades and 2 satin, shimmer shades.
Ideal if you want an easy-to-use eyeshadow routine that will take you to any occasion.
Below are closeups of each shade in the shade.
And here are closeups of each shade in sunlight.
And the swatches! They actually lean more beige-brown than pink, so that was a good thing. Much easier to use.
I have heard that some people said it is too dry, and I have to say I agree. The matte shades really are dry, but I feel like you can make them work using eye primer.
A more closeup look: I think you can see that they are a bit patchy.
