Hello everyone, I’m sure you all know that Gucci kinda . . gave up on their makeup . . and somehow managed to return. So their new makeup range is a line of lipstick with 3 finishes. Each finish has a different packaging, and they are all super gorgeous.

First up is the Rouge à Lèvres Satin Lipstick

I bought 3 shades from this formula (this formula has the most shades available), and they are housed in a classic gold bullet with a matching gold cap.

The formula is a satin finish, comfortable on the lips. I feel like they are a tad sheerer than other brand’s cream lipsticks. See the swatches below.

Second, the Baume à Lèvres Lip Balm (Tinted Lip Balm)

The lipsticks within all of the collections can be layered and blended to create new colors and finishes

This formula is definitely a lip balm texture (the kind that you need to dig your fingers into a pot) and I accidentally scraped the side of it *cries* . The tint on 04 Penelope Plum is buildable. I was able to get my lips to look plummy with a thick layer of this. On the other hand, 02 No More Orchids was less visible. Scroll down for swatches.

Lastly, the Rouge à Lèvres Voile Lipstick. (sheer finish lipstick)

To me, this formula is also so so. I feel like its just another sheer lipstick in very pretty vintage packaging.

Gucci Beauty Rouge à Lèvres Mat Lipstick - Janet Rust.

Seriously I think this is Gucci’s best lipstick formula to date. They’re also one of the best matte lipstick formulas out there as well. They feel velvety and smooth and even leaves a muted stain. I love the shade range, they are easily wearable but still have that classic vibes.
