Dior Lip Glow Review and Swatches
Hello, another day, another post on lipbalms! Now that we all have to wear masks in public, I guess we will be wearing less lipsticks and more lip balms! This post is all about the Dior Lip Glow balms (one of my favourite lip balm lines). If you’re also interested in other lip balms, below are the links:
Brand’s description: The must-have universal balm from Dior Backstage, now unveiling two new finishes: Matte and Holographic, alongside the original Glow. Inspired by the expert techniques of the Dior Backstage, Lip Glow is the first color reviver balm by Dior combining the comfort of a balm with a natural flush of custom color.
Its secret lies in the perfect balance between make-up and lip care, thanks to the famous 'Color Reviver' technology which reacts to the unique chemistry of each person's lips to give them a natural flush of custom color that suits each skin tone. Lips look fresh, full and radiant, as if revived from within.
The Lip Glow formula is concentrated in mango butter and provides continual hydration for 24 hours.
Wear it alone, below, or on top of lipstick: Apply alone for a natural flush of color. Wear as a lip balm or primer. Layer on top of lipstick to change the effect. Top with Lip Maximizer for even more radiant results.
In my opinion, I dont think these work well on top of lipstick. I prefer to use them as a primer or wear alone when I don’t need much color. They work great as a lip balm and primer (not sure what else to say, they do their job perfectly and I don’t have any complaints about them). I don’t think you need many shades though, as the lighter ones dont difer at all once on my lips, and you only need one Holo shade as the two that i own are similar also.
My first 3 shades are non shimmering: Original Glow, The iconic finish: Born backstage and loved by Dior make-up artists for its custom rosy tint effect and subtle shine.

I also own 2 Holo shades.
Holographic Glow: The same comfort and Color Reviver technology in an iridescent "Holographic" glow finish to enhance the lips.

And the swatches! You can see that they are so similar. I cant tell Pink and Coral apart, and I can’t tell Holo Pink and Holo Rosegold apart either.
