Dolce Gabbana Beauty Blushes, Bronzers, cream blushes swatches
Hello guys, here’s my third blog on Dolce Gabbana Beauty. They just opened the first ever, and only shop in South East Asia here at Siam Paragon. I spend a lot of time there doing swatches and also buying loads. If you wanna see swatches of their two new lipstick formulas, check out the links below.
This blogpost will be about all their face/cheek products, powder blush, cream blush, and bronzers.
Let’s start off with the powder blush: the Blush of Roses.
The reason they call it the Blush of Roses is probably because of the packaging. The cover is a rose design, just like the Dolcissomo Liquid lipstick.
Here’s the brand’s description: “Dolce&Gabbana woman embraces and celebrates her emotions, including the subtle, healthy blush that comes naturally to her cheeks.
Like the Dolce&Gabbana rose fabrics that enliven the silhouette, Blush of Roses Luminous Cheek Colour softly sculpts the skin for healthy-looking cheeks with a natural luminous veil of rose colour.
This hybrid skincare make up blush formula includes Dolce&Gabbana’s Mediterranean Glow Complex to plump and smooth the skin.
Blush of Roses’ nourishing and velvety feel comes from the inclusion of natural butters, which provide a comfortable feeling. The formula’s biomimicry pigments mimic the skin, creating a second-skin effect with radiant glow and natural coverage in one stroke.
Designed for women who want a natural luminous veil of rosy colour on the cheeks.”
BENEFITS
- Natural and luminous veil of colour
- Petal like soft texture
- Plumps and smooths the skin
- Enriched with Dolce&Gabbana Mediterranean Glow Complex
- Illuminates, comforts and hydrates the skin for 8 hours
- All-day healthy radiance
Many shades were sold out, but I managed to get the shade 400 Peach (coincidentally that’s my name too!). And later I ordered 130 Mocha online from Selfridges London ( I use a freight forwarding company for all my international purchases).
I think these are just like the brand’s description, buttery and glowy. I really like how none of them are matte, but have some level of luminosity in them.
The top row are mainly neutral shades, which to me would work as bronzers for lighter skintones. (Similar to Burberry blush in Natural which I use as bronzer also).
The second row is more pink based, and the third row are more coral.
OK moving on to the Bronzers! It is called the Bronzing Powder Solar Glow, and it is housed in a gorgeous (circus theme?) compact.
Here’s the brand’s description” “Dolce&Gabbana Beauty introduces a new bronzing powder: Solar Glow.
Like a leisurely stroll through Sicily, this powder instantly warms up the skin and imparts a natural and lively healthy glow all day long.
Easy to wear and apply, this hybrid skincare-make up formula is enriched with the Mediterranean Glow Complex, illuminating, comforting and hydrating thanks to its natural caring butters, leaving the skin velvety and nourished.
From its addictive olfactory signature to its carretto motif, Solar Glow encapsulates the sun and gives a joyous and colourful ode to Sicilian heritage and traditions.
Created for women who wish to bask in Mediterranean sunshine all year long.”
BENEFITS
- Second-skin coverage for natural finish
- Traceless, mistake proof application
- Mediterranean glow complex for a hydrated and illuminated complexion and instant comfort
- A unique scent to escape to Mediterranean landscapes
There are 6 shades: 10 Sunshine, 20 Sand, 30 Sunrise, 40 Dessert, 50 Amber, 60 Sunset.
Personally, I think this bronzer range only suits fair to light skin. I mean I have quite light skin, and I tried shade 60 Sunset and it still wasn’t that dark. So I doubt it would work on dark skintones.
If you look at the swatches, the first 3 shades barely show up on my arm. But this could be a good thing cause then you can layer them to add glow and not make it look too obvious.
I really like all the shades, really, because they are super easy to work with. Like the blushes, they have this glow in them that doesn’t make you look dull or too contoured. I like wearing bronzers that people can’t tell that I’m wearing bronzer, you know what I mean?
I ended up buying 30 Sunrise and 60 Sunset. You know, one light and one dark.
I took so many photos of the swatches, and I guess posting all of them isn’t all that bad.
And lastly, the Cream Blush.
Here’s the brand’s description: “True luxury means never having to choose: Dolce Blush’s creamy formula can be applied on both cheeks and lips, making them sublime with a natural, healthy-looking glow.
Its creamy-to-silky lightweight texture offers easy colour impact in one simple glide and its premium powders work together to create a natural, homogenous finish.
Finally, its array of coated pigments and pearls offer a luminous, buildable coverage.
Designed for women in search of a multi purpose product, for both cheeks and lips.”
BENEFITS
- Creamy-to-silky lightweight texture
- Natural healthy looking glow
- Intuitive effortless application over lips or cheeks
- Buildable and luminous coverage
I did not try these on my cheeks so I can’t really comment on them (I live in a very humid climate and cream blushes just don’t work).
But below are the swatches that I did for future reference.
