Hey Hey this post is long overdue but quarantine has given me time to finish it. It is all about Mother’s base products: primer, foundation, and powder. I bought them immediately after they launched, and here’s my opinion about them!

Let’s see Mother’s description of this Skin system: Indulge like an icon with a breakthrough Skin Perfecting System three decades in the making. Whether your fantasy is the minimal majorness of her iconic “No Makeup” Makeup or you love to lavish yourself in luxurious layers of seductive skinspiration, all you need to remember are three little words: Prime. Perfect. Set.

STEP 1 – SKIN FETISH: SUBLIME PERFECTION PRIMER

After moisturizing, apply the primer from the centre of the face outward with the fingertips.

STEP 2 – SKIN FETISH: SUBLIME PERFECTION FOUNDATION

Apply from the centre of the face with the fingertips or Sublime Skin Perfection Foundation Brush, blending outward to create a veil of sheer luminosity. Build the coverage by blending additional layers to achieve a customisable couture finish.

STEP 3 – SKIN FETISH: SUBLIME PERFECTION POWDER

Gently apply powder by sweeping the brush across the face to set your foundation with a sublime silken effect. Use sweeping motions to smooth and blur the T-zone, moving across the forehead and down the nose. Effortlessly build a velvety matte finish by sweeping powder across all planes of the face for divine perfection.

First up is the Primer

Brand’s description: Makeup meets skincare in the ultimate smoothing, skin-refining Primer. The first step in Mother’s iconic SUBLIME PERFECTION SYSTEM primes, smoothes, hydrates and renews with a sublime silken effect that instantly turns back time on your complexion by preventing transepidermal moisture loss.

Infused with hydrating hyaluronic acid, this major moisture magnet helps preserve skin’s most youthful qualities, including suppleness, elasticity and tone. Water-soluble purified botanical extracts perform on multiple fronts to refine the appearance of pores as this luxe, water-based formulation awakens and refreshes for visibly smooth skin with a velvety matte finish.

I kind of like this primer when used together with the foundation. However, I feel like there’s not much of anything special for this primer for it to be this pricy. If you purchase it to use with the foundation than great, but as a primer alone I don’t think it’s worth the price.

Next is the Foundation

Before the purchase, I have heard that it accentuates pores and line, but this isn’t the case for me. I have combo skin and this works perfectly for me. It oils up nicely in the afternoon (similar to Armani Lasting Silk foundation – but I still give that one a higher rating). I guess it depends on what kind of skin you have, so better try it out before buying. If you have oily skin just go ahead and buy. I like that there are so many shade selection so there’s a shade for everyone.

The coverage is medium to high , abd it easy to blend.

Lastly, the Powder

Weightless and brilliantly buildable, it takes your look from divine to sublime. Formulated to complement Sublime Perfection Foundation, it’s available in five shades that are uniquely calibrated to correspond to the Foundation’s 36 colour-true hues.

Mother’s lighter-than-air proprietary Flex Form Matrix powder blend gives a barely-there feel with soft-focus effects that visibly blur fine lines and imperfections. Micronized Amino Acid Treated Pigments in hexagonal and crystalline shapes help ensure flexible skin adherence with colour-true performance. Formulated without parabens and fragrance.

In my opinion, this is a nice powder, but it’s still lacking that WOW factor that I usually get from Pat’s products. Overall its nice but not a must-have. I have swatches of all shade on the below post:
